So they cost about the same as Carroll, Downing and Henderson? Worse United team I've seen in years, yet they're top. We can only sign mediocre players because, the odd great night apart, we have been mediocre since 1992. Unfortunately we have to start building from the bottom, like 1959 (I'm not old enough to remember that though!!) Anybody who demands instant success is naive and clueless. It's not happening. Age is irrelevant, cheap transfer means bigger wage demands (or capability). That's why bosman players, whatever age, can command better salaries

Yep, Hence the line I inserted about not commenting on other teams players. But I get your point, Ferguson would start having a go at the ground staff and stewards. -

Not doubting his legs, and if they are still good enough, I'd stick him on the right of the front three. Got bags of goals from the right previously. And still think he can drop in front of the back four when he gets a bit older.

I think rather than a massive public debate the exact opposite happens. Nothing in the public domain. No manager or player is allowed to speak about the officials at any time, or their perceived behaviour of players from other clubs. This would allow them to get on with their job without worrying about what's said about them and possibly mean they judge an incident there and then and not with their minds made up for them because of comments made by a manager the day before the game. The plus side would be the inability of the more mouthy and powerful managers to place undue and highly controversial pressure on the officials pre match. Hands up who'd be a ref? And if you answer yes hands up who'd chin the first gob shite who fronted them up? -

Second para is the most relevant, not confused. Either all abuse is unacceptable or we just don't bother. You can't select what is right and wrong based on what is fashionable, PC wise, at the time. Homophobia is every bit as evil as racism. But more importantly.... Can I still call ginger and fat people names?

I fucking hate banks. Some players are tee total....if they choose not to play cause they don't like the sponsors, who pay towards their obscene and disgusting salaries, they're free to get a normal job somewhere with a moral outlook they agree with?
