  1. To me Liverpool Football Club, is one of the worlds biggest sporting institutions, however I feel this is a title that one day we will no longer be able to use. At the end of every trophy less season another chunk falls off the name Liverpool Football Club and i honestly fear for us as a club. We can look back now to the dominance of the 70's, 80's and we have to say the club just didn't push themselves like the way Manchester United did and therefore 20 years on we are failing miserably. Today I have read 2 articles in a newspaper such as this "Ultimately though, Liverpool accept the decision on Suarez’s future will rest with the player himself, and that the chance to join a huge, world-renowned club that can guarantee him Champions League football will be a powerful temptation" Mirror 21/05/13. I think the highlighted bit says it all really, that just shows you what we are now considered, ignore the Champions League part. Also Manchester City agreeing a deal to become a partner of New York City FC plus their 72 million pound deal with Nike, it has to be said we are seriously lagging. 3 years ago City were nothing, no trophies in the cabinet, but now we look to them for inspiration as to our way forward. Clearly ownership issues have not help our course and our current owners, just appear invisible with them playing to much on financial fair play, no news on the ground and nothing really that pushes the name LFC to become a more dominant name once again. Whats the way forward here now with our club, obviously a sugar daddy would do us no harm, but thats cheating. Surely we can put those falling bits back on the name Liverpool Football Club but how? Myself personally have to thank the current owners for saving our club, but i think it's now time that the reigns we're passed over to somebody or something more in the same league as Liverpool FC. We are a champagne football club however we have lemonade owners and as each day passes by, we fall back that little bit more.
  2. Noticed watching tunnel cam on LFC.tv and being Liverpool, that prior to matches and at halftimes its a bit of a free for all for players that are not even close to the squad to go in. They seem to all congregate into the dressing room at what is a vital time when concentration is paramount. To me as someone who is involved in football at a good standard, i know just how vital it is to concentrate and discuss the issues of the half and also tactics. Seeing what happens in the dressing room strikes me as unprofessional, has anyone else seen this?
  3. Thinks he knows everything, I know him from old he's a bit of a blagger to be honest. A know all really, we will soon see..
  4. After watching Celtic tonight I am more than happy to say that Gary Hooper is definitely the player we need, worked hard, held the ball up well, was good in possession and scored a fantastic goal. I think he fits perfectly....
  5. Would love to see a flag saying Agent Benitez & Agent Torres "mission accomplished" at one of our games. Now that would get the rent boys going.. Anyone fancy doing it...
  6. I wish that Dave Kirby will fuck off..... Just another joker trying to make money out of our great club.
  7. This guy deserves a thread on his own, who does he think he is, Barack Obama. Think this guy is too interested in his own self promotion then anything else. I just wonder what he would be saying if it was just Jason Roberts who never wore the shirt, because ferdinand didn't he has his tongue in his arse. Think to boycott the campaign by not wearing a t shirt just completely goes against the whole moral of the campaign and Carlisle backing Ferdinand on this really sums the guy up. This latest story says a lot....... BBC Sport - Rio Ferdinand backed by PFA over Kick It Out anti-racism protest If someone could copy all text from news story on to here I would appreciate it.
  8. It is damming, it's been discussed on here and other forums several times. And I have seen first hand this taking place, as have other people who have contacted the club to complain, but nothing has been done about it and still this George bloke is making his ££££££ from backhanded payments. Makes me physically sick this, when genuine fans are are just being treated like dogs.
  9. You don't need to be on the season ticket waiting list if you know a certain currupt individual in the ticket office and we all know this person will be happy with new additional seats at the club whether at Anfield or a new home. As discussed before in other threads good old George in the ticket office will be doing his back handers, it's season ticket time again so he will probably have a few quid to spare again this summer.... Anyone after a season ticket, get in touch with him and if you flash the cash am sure you will find a season ticket coming your way. Nuff said and Mr Ayre let's this continue.
  10. Right I have a day off work tomorrow so at 7am I will be at Liverpool's offices at 20 Chapel Street, Liverpool City Cente, to air my views to Mr Ayre on the potential appointment of Mr Martinez. I am staying there until i speak to him, anyone is welcome to join me, the more the merrier.
  11. Brian Hall was not sacked, Brian is unfortunately not very well and is receiving treatment for cancer, he had no option but to retire to try and get better, that's why he has not be seen for a very long time around Anfield.
  12. I think it's fair to say it has to be one of those "you had to be there at the time moments". It was bad coz no one was really there and the lads are decent lads, I leave it at that.
