I've forgiven him now and still love the guy but if he hadn't downed tools like he had for the season prior to him going to Chelsea there's a good chance he mightn't have been sold. He looked spent and getting 50 million for him seemed a great bit of business at the time. He has only himself to blame and shouldn't be pointing the finger at Kenny or Comolli or anyone else. I adored him, absolutely adored the guy and he broke my fucking heart he did, and that shit interview he did with Chelsea tv still grates on me today.
That said, I'm glad he got a chance to come back and say goodbye properly in that charity match a few years ago. Shows what a classy bunch Liverpool supporters are to give him the reception they did on the day.
