Just had a call back from Sky. Offered me 35% of my TV. Ended up slightly enhancing the offer to get HD back on and access to the box sets on catch up and have ended up with an overall saving of £22pm. Was staying with them regardless as wife and kids were gonna string me up if I went ahead with the cancellation so happy all round.

I used dialaphone a few years ago. No real issues but when phone developed a fault the high Street shop didn't want to know, said they are effectively a separate entity and I had to deal with them.

Bit the bullet yesterday and served 30 days notice on my Sky TV. They initially offered me 1/2 price line rental and drop my broadband by £2.50 (which I was entitled to anyway). Declined their offer and put notice on so now to sit and wait! Anyone else done this recently ?

Same here. I cancelled hd, movies and sports last summer and all they offered me was half price sports for 6 months. I just imagined the person on the other end of the phone keying my postcode into Virgin website and just smiling to themselves.

Always liked Seedorf. Met him in Istanbul, we were staying in the same hotel as AC Milan. We were having a few beers and playing pool late on the Monday night when Seedorf came in with one of the staff and had a game of pool. Didn't object to us harassing him and had a good chat with us all and took photos with us. Liked him even more after that!

Apparently it's "mango"! In all seriousness, I've got a mate who plays footy with us and goes mad if any balls we play with has a hint of red as he is colour blind and finds it hard to distinguish against the green pitch. Wonder if this may cause some excuses from players.
