  1. Was quite an eerie atmosphere yesterday and almost toxic at times. There seems to be just so many people who go to the game at the moment who are just constantly angry, negative and waiting with their knives out. One thing that seems apparent now is that there is a section of the support who just are no longer willing to get behind the Manager any more. I'm not saying that's right or wrong or whether I agree or disagree but it's not very nice. Whatever happens in the summer now the pressure on BR is going to be immense right from the first ball of next season and god only knows how quickly things will turn sour if he doesn't get us off to a fast start. On a side note, is there really any need for the abuse that Sterling is getting? I mean sure he's just another greedy footballer amongst a vast ocean of greedy footballers but am I one of the few people who goes to the game who would actually like the lad to stay because he's a young talented and improving footballer? (You know the kind of footballers we need if are to improve next season) In 25 seasons as a season ticket holder I don't think I've ever heard one of our own players take stick like that. It's not fucking right and I wouldn't blame him if he didn't even want to stay anymore.
  2. Whoever was responsible, doesn't really matter it's just pathetic really. Save your money dickhead and donate it to charity or something. FFS
  3. I literally just spat tea all over my keyboard.
  4. He'll get another season but to be honest he's filling me with more doubt than optimism. He clearly has no idea what system to play with the squad available anymore so he's going to have to go back to the drawing board in the Summer and reinvent this team for a 3rd time. Also we are now starting to bottle just about every 'big game' that we're involved in which is another worry. On the whole the signings have been pretty poor and that needs be addressed as well. Shame Klopp couldn't have decided to make this announcement 12 months from now as that could have been perfect timing a nice insurance policy.
  5. Yes I would keep Rodgers at the end of the season. Shit thread.
  6. Ok so he's leaving in the Summer...I think that's pretty obvious now. Let's hope we can spend the money well and buy the A-list striker that we failed to buy last summer.
  7. I don't really see the need to lambaste Rodgers too much for yesterday. Yes we were out numbered in Midfield in the first half and he made a very sensible change at half time to counter act that. You can't legislate for what Stevie did or for the collective under-performing of several players in the first half in Lallana, Moreno, Sterling and Allen. I could add Henderson to that list but I think he was just badly exposed as a result of the above as well as trying to look after Fellaini who is having the time of his life at the moment. I'm happy to write this off as just a very, very bad day at the office and not start pointing fingers unnecessarily at the manager. It was a 'must not lose game' and we did so that simply makes the Arsenal game a 'must win game'. If we can manage to pick ourselves up and manage that then it's as you were as far I'm concerned.
  8. We have a far better chance of making Top 4 than winning the EL in my opinion. Teams that concede 2 goals a game don't win anything in Europe.
  9. Assuming that we have no money to spend and one would assume that we can get £10M off Sunderland for Borini then I suppose it would be be a case of getting Cech and doing some kind of emergency deal to get that Origi kid over from France.
  10. Hard to say for sure but the thought of that cunt Torres wearing our shirt again any time soon has certainly triggered my 'Fuck you' response recently.
  11. Two memories stick out... First being the equalizer in the 3-3 where he nearly knocked himself out in the process. Second was watching the big sulking bastard walking right in front of me on that long walk from the dressing rooms to the bench at the old Wembley in 1996 when was was dropped. Bottom lip was quivering, looked like he was about to cry. I also remember reading in the programme one time before the match that he said is favourite meal was pie and mash...fat cunt.
  12. Call me naiive if you wish but I don't really see the problem with this. Whilst it may not quite be 'friendly derby' that it might have once been the fixture is no where near the level of threat that the plods are trying to imply.
  13. Brad Jones was basically sat on his arse for the 1st and 3rd goals before Rooney and Van Persie even shot. Very poor display of goalkeeping from him.
  14. Good piece. Would be doubly worrying if Rogers watched that and went "Fuck me, they are right, I'd never noticed that before".
  15. This is true, whilst I can't be arsed trolling the archives to find the evidence, the suggestion of Bony in the Summer went down about as well as a dose of the clap.
  16. He shouldn't be anywhere this team, he's absolute fucking garbage. Disappointed that Rodgers decided to play him yesterday when Kolo was clearly fit enough. It's almost like Brendan is still in denial about him and desperate to justify his transfer.
  17. On this season's form we would struggle to get past any of these.
  18. Sakho is shite, whether he's as shite as Lovren is open for debate I guess. Jones for Mignolet? If he'd made this change after the Leicester game I would have said fair enough but it doesn't really make much sense to drop him for the game at the Toilet.
  19. Just read some 'gossip' about Torres. I think I would be physically sick if that cunt ever pulled on our shirt again.
  20. From here we sign a Goalkeeper and a Striker in January (preferably good ones who are going to play every game when fit and not sit on the bench). That would be a good start.
  21. I'll give you Sanchez, but that's about it. I don't seem to remember any other serious moves for big names. We never seriously went after Falcao because we would not pay the £25M for a one year loan fee (and rightly so). The players that we really wanted were the three lads from Southampton and we got them all pretty much uncontested.
  22. Agreed. Souness' team was worse than this but at least that team had an occasional 'big performance' in them. This current team doesn't seem to have anything at all at the moment.
