  1. My favourite red man from the last ten years, in the company of some genuine legends. What a career he had with us. A fucking giant who never gave a moments thought to anything other than the well being of the club.
  2. They don't know what to do with him as he has them nervous as kittens. No sign of purple chops yet. Hope they ask him about the rafael challenge. Bet they don't
  3. Ive never thought Dirk was a top redman and despaired at his limitations but a game against portsmouth the other year when he came off the bench with us 2-1 down he turned the game around for us. We won 3-2. I said to myself that whatever his faults I would never roast him again The thing is that he is always gonna wind me up and I hate myself for slagging him off but thats the thing with him. I love him and he gets on my nerves at the same time. Made up for him today. Well done Dirk
  4. When they have players missing it makes it harder for us because they tighten up and come to make sure they don't lose. Got to go for it big time. pepe johnson carragher agger aurelio poulsen lucas merieles gerrard suarez carroll decent team that and not a bad bench
  5. I suppose all threads tend to drift but this one has just passed neptune and is now occupied by fuckin spaceman. If the keeper wishes to leave then get the cash for him and spend it on Lloris who is better than pepe anyway. No big deal
  6. Theteams from 72 through to 79 for me as i'm a bit of a codger now. Keegan, Toshack, Cormack etc up to Rush Kenny ,Sounness, then stopped going to play footie instead. The kenny for kevin swap was the big thing as I was worried sick we wouldn't replace king kev but Bob knew better. Happy days indeed
  7. Weighing this up and agree its to hard to call even Bobs songs alone are hard to seperate. The love songs of Dylan are the ones to remember and blood on the tracks is probably his greatest moment You're a big girl now ,simple twist of fate to name a couple, but at the end of the day when you hear the words,"Ernie looked up in pained surprise as a concrete hardened crust of a stale pork pie caught him in the eye and Ernie bit the dust". Benny puts it all to bed
  8. Springsteen Manchester apollo may 81. 4 hrs of pure energy.Ruined ever since.Regret not getting tickets off city fans for the next night selling cos they were playing spurs the next day ( the ricky villa final). Never seen anything close.
  9. Mmmmm.. At it again i see. We do not need to sign a centre back. It's a keeper we need cos ours is fucking off .I would spend as much as we get for reina to replace him. Lloris would do but won't be cheap. I like Stokes keeper as well
  10. A moment of clear thinking here for us at this moment. It was never gonna be wine and roses just cos Dalglish was appointed. We all know that. The fact is we have a long road to travel but as sceptical and fickle as I am I really feel we can move a long way forward if we get it right and make the right signings in the summer.
  11. What was the thread about. Oh yeah. David Ngog is not fucking shite. Carry on gobshites with your pointless fucking bickering over previous employees.
  12. I've mentioned this before but the fact remains that Purslow done absolutely nothing during his time with us. The new owners got on to him early doors and like some of the other poor performers within the club they have decided to ship him out. Lets move on now and fuck " christian ". He's not gonna starve and like Moores and Parry will not be remembered with any fondness.
  13. He can go for me as his injury problems will get worse and worse so he won't get the run of games in the side. Couple this with the wages he gets and Ithink we should unload him in the summer. Going forward where is he going to get into the side this august
  14. Glad to see the back of the man. monumental fuck up signing a generally nice man who will be remembered as the WORST manager in our history. We've kept the better man in Ayres as he is actually good at his job, unlike Purslow who was piss poor at his. Apart from his "vote" what did "Christian" ever do.
  15. I agree with what you say and it is a bit sad to see him leave but it will be better for him in the long run. I really hope the manager takes Dirk out of the picture soon as I am findingmyself actually hating him and that is fucking terrible as he doesn't deserve that. Great header Dirk. See what I mean
  16. Nearly all great players have a bit of the devil about them but you can't take it away from Bergkamp. He was the nearest thing i've seen to the king in this country. And thats the best compliment I could pay anyone. Ronaldo regardless of who he played for was some player in the prem. He carried the cunts for 2 seasons before he left.
  17. Changing? It changed years ago. What is it you don't mind too much and what has living 80 miles away got to do with it.You feel what you feel no matter where you live. Not wanting to offend but I get the impression your hearts not really in it. Thats your choice of course but don't be winding up reds who make that financial commitment season after season. I only replied due to the game being fucking chronic.
  18. The sad fact about all this is that if we were to be at that final we would sell our allocation no problem and the prices nowadays are a consequence of that fact. It still does not make it right. As the post said earlier we have lost the game we first fell in love with. Lost to the masses who 20 years ago considered us less than the shit on their shoe.
  19. Don't think so. Barcelona are a better side than the team that beat a better utd side in the final 2 years ago. they'll smash utd
  20. It's gonna be a struggle to get one but it does happen. I had a dad and lads in the upper annie and give it up for a year as the lad was in uni ( he looked young for his age ) I never gave it to family or friend but to a lad who sat by me and had a mate who was after one. I managed to get one for this season in the main stand off a lad I know whose neighbour couldn't make it. I was lucky but a mate of mine was offered one in the lower annie which normally costs £750 but the cunt wanted £1500 for it cos he was giving it up for good. He should have reported the greedy bastard They are out there but it's being in the right place at the right time
  21. There are players who are deemed not good enough for a top team and a lot of teams have them. Fletcher at utd is a good example. Them cunts have always used him as a whipping boy but purple plays him in all their big games. Everything has to happen in front of the ' sitting ' midfielder and when it goes well he just keeps things ticking over. When we have a game like yesterdays when the team struggle to create a lot he comes in for abuse because he isn't pushing on to help create something, but he still has his job to do. In a perfect world my midfield wouldn't have him in there but he wasn't responsible for everyone fucking off and he's been given a job to do and Ithink he's grown into it more and more. Give him a break.
  22. You are obviously pissed off with yesterdays perfomance so time to pick on the usual suspect. I agree with you to a certain extent about taking to long to get his passes off and maybe dwells on the ball at times. That said when we have a full squad available he plays an important role and has performed it well ( as he showed last week ) He has improved and is still a young lad. Brazil isn't a local kids team where the manager plays his own sons even if they're shite. He is picked on merit. No matter what he does you will never give him any credit. Are you a boo boy by nature as if we ever move Lucas on I would like to know you will move on to next.
  23. He never stood a chance with the crying cunts at our place forever being put against stevie xabi and the argentinian rat. I blame that gobshite phil neville myself for turning that injury time winner around the post after he'd come on for the captain. I bet things would have been different for him then with the boo boys, after all it worked a treat for david speedie and alan waddle. Good luck to you lucas son. At least your lucky enough to be able to turn to your vice captain for advice on how to deal with a load of shithuse whinging cunts. Or didn't that really happen.
  24. Reading your post took me back to halcyon heady days and while your points are valid up to a point ( a bit selective to be honest )I can't help feeling you are being deliberately mischievious going back to a time totally irrelevant to today. Kenny was a young manager sometimes at odds with his backroom support about team selection. He advocated bringing youth through quicker than joe and bob but as roy evans said he wanted to put his stamp on the team by taking the odd risk or two. When you consider that the debate between reds over the years as to whether the 78 or 88 was the best side in the clubs history we must remember Kenny put the 88 side together so his odd gamble paid off you must agree You shouldn't worry too much about what happened 20 years ago as it was a fucking great team and if we ever get anywhere near the balance skill and commitment of that side we won't be far away'
  25. That gorilla you mention looks about 2 stone lighter than you chunky.theway torome??? did your mum tell you about that great night while she was changing your shitty nappie. By the way them tickets never turned up.
