  1. Bit unfair to pick on the lad so early in his time with us. He obviously must be doing something right in training to warrant Kenny fancying him prior to his injury. I'm gonna trust the king on this one as jonjo knows he can't fuck about as the likes of coady and suso will be breathing down his neck soon enough. Bear in mind he isn't being played in his natural position through the centre ( he's not alone there ) but we may as well give him a bit of time to see what he could become. That said how many lads are we gonna have looking to play centre mid in the near future? Pressures on for all concerned
  2. Well said mate. I feel good times are just around the corner for us and when you see 2 kids perform as well as our 2 full backs did today strengthens that belief. Imagine what the other pups are thinking watching their mates holding their own against a top side. It's got to have a positive effect. We need to bring a bit of guile and composure around the 2 lads up front and a couple of major signings will give everyone the belief we can really go places next august/. On another note how impressive was Pepe organising his back 4 when carragher went off. He never shut up. What a man he is. And he'll stay.
  3. I obviously wasn't thinking about right now of course, who would? We will next season along with City. The 2 sides he couldn't cope with being successful.
  4. Not long now before it all turns inwards with utd. Beetroot won't stick around much longer especially with us and city posing mighty threats to their empire. When he goes they will struggle, whoever comes in. The scum press will hound his successor as payback for the demented ones histrionics over the last 20 yrs. Not long now. By the way I wonder what that shitbag Nani thought about the ginger ones tackle. Balotelli took the piss out of camel kite and rose in my estimation for a short time anyway.
  5. Well said mate. I've never got into the Rafa nonsense on here as he has gone now and I miss him but the king is here now. We just have to be thankful to a great man for fully understanding what this marvelous club of ours truly represents. The bitchiness is sad but I reckon the lad regrets it terribly as he is a red after all. Thank you Rafa and happy birthday mate.
  6. Big decisions from all concerned at the club regards Danny's future in the summer. The lad must be wondering where his future lies when he knows he hasn't made any impact into the first team even in such a poor season as this. At the same time looking over his shoulder at the young lads emerging and looking quality. It's not fair to judge him at Norwich as he hasn't been there 2 minutes. I feel sorry for the lad in some ways as I would have preferred him to have been given a run of games to see if he could kick on with more confidence and be a genuine replacement for Benayoun as Joe Cole is only here for the pie and mash. I think Dan will leave in the summer probably back to Spain. He will want to go and the club won't stand in his way and he'll leave with all our best wishes. Still a shame though
  7. Why the surprise. He has always been a complete cunt for as long as I can remember and his only affinity to the city is with his occasional association with the reds.He is a fucking embarrasment and when cunts collide as they often do on that over rated bag of shite on sky then the only result is utter fucking inane drivel. So fuck Tarbuck. Once a cunt always a cunt. Under 18s just gone 1 up if your looking for something to watch.
  8. I don't think you are talking shite as you seem well informed about Real's past and i'm in no position to question that. I just felt it wasn't really necessary as i'm sure that Kenny's previous association with the kids would indicate that he would not allow the hierarchal situation to develop here and I assumed anyone would believe that to be the case knowing the nature of the man. Thought it a bit negative to be honest
  9. And fourthly get a grip you for fucks sake. The general thread was about the fresh approach from the club and all you can do is pull someone up on some facts to feel good about yourself( done well there putting that newspaper fella right on a few things Trumo my son).Fuck off. The point is things are looking up at last. Just enjoy it
  10. This is 100% spot on and if we get some genuine quality into the midfield we will move forward at a blistering pace as the confidence in knowing your midfield is controlling the game sweeps through the side giving the back four support and getting past the forwards when we go at teams. We must not minge it when we sign these players as I believe the midfield is more of a priority than the back four. That said I would push for Cahill as he is a top player. We need to become a grown up side again and get some maturity and leadership back to how it was not so long ago. Recently we have become a soft touch to the so called lesser sides and yet never a pushover to the top sides. The other reason for making sure we buy well is that kenny needs to send out 11 better players than the opposition as tactics are not his strong point. Very similar to purple nose up the road.
  11. II agree with what you say but If the 2 signings in jan are anything to go by then maybe we are moving away from what you mention in your post. Priorities and the money available will determine the quality we bring in as yesterdays shocking performance would indicate spending big in a number of areas diluting the funds and ending up with more 'squad players'. Personally I hope we bring some of the kids through and buy genuine quality that will make a difference as Luis has proved. We must make the midfield our priority.
  12. I wonder if we are in for either as it looks like this Marveaux lad looks like coming and as the post earlier said we won't fit 2 wide men in but the currently piss poor squad could do with filling with players who could change a game instead of the lightweights we have at the minute. Downing for me but it looks like utd will do their best to fuck us getting either as they will push for Young for no other reason than to prevent him coming to us as has happened before and Villa won't sell both. Central midfield has to be our priority. We must buy a stellar performer to send a genuine message out
  13. Just got on and went to last page. Fuck me what a bunch of bitching queens. Fucks sake move on. Boring cunts
  14. Agree with this as over the years both have frustrated the life out of me. Watching Lucas today the thing that pisses me off is his lack of movement to create space for himself to take the ball off the back four ( something that Xabi is peerless at.) Even today with the piss poor opposition. At kick off for the last few years i have said to myself " come on son show yourself today and shut these crying cunts up but only occasionally has it happened. He's had a decent season but i wonder if he will move on as a slower game would suit him. Then again he could continue to improve and become a top player but i have my doubts. Dirk was in burger king in town last week and asked the girl for 2 whoppers, she said you're a good looking cunt and your first touch is shit hot. I love him though and will be a decent squad player for next season
  15. City and spurs will drop loads of points but will we? If not 4th is ours.
  16. I can't mate. I'm excited by all the goings on with us. Aren't you
  17. No sooner do we hear some positive news coming from the club ( hopefully)we have fans quoting we have taken any old available minion to take us forward as it transpires that someone I have never heard of ,my loss maybe, reckons so.. Thats what
  18. Lawton doesn't hate us, he fuckin loves us and he has showed that over the years. The reason I read him is down to his unwavering support over Hillsborough and his reporting of the fact we are much more than just another football club. His reporting of the 2005 final brought a lump to my throat. Lawton fell out with us when we sold Xabi and he began to question Rafa's man management acumen. He had it in for him and even suggested that Kenny should've been appointed before soft shite in the summer. Carraghers tackle was bad and thats how he saw it and it's true he looks to support purple features from time to time but he loves us really. He's told me when i asked him.
  19. Don't agree with all of that but the main thrust is spot on. We seem to have some serious unity across the club, we must not waste it. The manager will get some decent cash to spend and we have a some very good players. We now have to make sure we can still be seen as a club going forward to bring in the right players and not squad fillers, let the kids come through to fill that area. Hopefully Kenny will get his deal soon so we move forward at pace because the quality of the prem is slipping and we can easily get involved in the shake upnext season. Fuck the Europa cup (sick of sunday footie anyway) 5 good signings( 6 if Pepe leaves ) and we can frighten the lot of them.
  20. Captain and one of our greatest players ever. You don't sit during YNWA. Cheeky cunt
  21. He wasn't that great in his prime and the last 18 months when the goals dried up he was very poor. His right leg was a total mystery to him. Left back has always been a dodgy position to fill for us. None have come close to the incomparable Alec Lyndsay.
  22. Agree with this post. We have to get back to judging the king as we would any other manager. I don't see it being a problem for any of us or Kenny as he knows us better than anyone and he has good support from everyone at the club We are in an awkward situation with Kenny as we need him to be a success as anyone taking over from him will be on a hiding to nothing. All that said i am convinced with what i've seen of the standard dropping in the prem and with us improving all the time with some good quality signings we will win the title next season.
  23. I've never had Gerrard down as a genuine central midfield player as through the years he has forced his strength and all round class into games by popping up everywhere on the pitch. This has served us well but he's turned 30 now and the way he strolled through the game on sunday while unfit makes me think that with the likes of Merieles getting forward at every opportunity,Suarez working like he did on sunday we have options in front of him. Scholes is an example of a great attacking midfielder who has curbed his enthusiasm and Stevie would be even better with his long and short passing game. This would put paid to us chasing Adam and renders Poulson surplus to requirements as in the tight games like sunday he can play with Lucas and in the easier games we can put Merieles alongside him as long he maintains his positional discipline. With new quality signings hopefully coming in I reckon it would benefit Stevie and the team if he continued to be the cornerstone of our bright future.
  24. I agree with you regards the Athens final but you have a very selective memory bringing that up without mentioning his achievements before and after You sound like you just don't like the man for whatever reason, but be fair he fitted with us by the fact that he was a well respected manager in charge of a well respected club and in europe he was very very good Anfield is probably the main reason we were so feared as much as anything else and that has always been the case.(give or take a few) Not many refs point to the penalty spot and give a corner (Roma 2001)
