  1. No problem, get yourself to bed it'll all be better tomorrow
  2. There is a difference between feeling a bit depressed and depression. Feeling a bit depressed? Get over it. Got depression? You need fucking help.
  3. Fair comment, the first line is perhaps a bit sexist. I should have said, many people instead of women.
  4. I'm happy with 6/10, thanks. What was wrong with the women in the workplace bit?
  5. It’s a tough uncaring and plastic world now, where the bottom line is king and youre judged by your outward success. Its no wonder depression creeps up on people. There are a few factors that I believe have contributed enormously towards depression – Work – So many people are dispensable and live under fear of some faceless person somewhere else in the world deciding by a stroke of a keyboard to shut their job down. Fanchester spoke well of the effects of losing your job. Employers now expect more and more, everything has to be now and if the company is 1% below growth forecast they panic and start cutting. Technology – Most of technology is brilliant, some has proved to be catastrophic – smart phones being the worst. People brag of having the latest phone and being in contact day and night with their emails and work without realising what it means. People cant switch off from work or hide, youre expected to be on duty all the time. Family – The way house prices are now it often requires both parents to work to maintain a lifestyle, kids suffer and the quality time is much less than it should be. Women in the workplace – It has to be said but many women are not cut out to juggle careers, housekeeping, families and relationships. A womans traditional role has been taken away, theyre expected to compete with men in the workplace and still be the homemaker. Expectations – Look at facebook, people with 100’s of friends but no-one to go down the pub with or have a good old natter face to face. They read how fantastic other peoples lives are compared to their own boring yet stressful yet empty lives. Falseness – You see people greeting other people that they cant stand as if they were a long lost relative. You hear people proclaiming heartfelt way over the top sadness over some tragic event or whatever when they couldn’t give a flying one. Greed is good. Image is god. Money is all. Welcome to the United States of America.
  6. Adolf Hitler - "Lebensraum, why didnt I just build a fucking extension?"
  7. I dont blame Rafa at all, heres his chance to rebuild his reputation, earn his money and live in a country he is obviously settled in. He goes to Man utd, Chelsea, Man City or Arsenal he has a chance to succeed. He goes to Aston Villa, Newcastle or the like his chances are limited. Its just that Chelsea became available first. I'm a lifelong Liverpool fan, always have been and always will be, I will always be biased and see things through red tinted glasses. Rafa is a football professional for hire. I'm sure he feels a certain affinity to us particularly as he was successful and i'm pretty sure he would have come back if it was offered, but whats he meant to do? I like Rafa, hate chelsea but totally understand why the 2 are together.
  8. The one thing that consoles me when thinking of Chelsea, is just what an unhappy bloke Abramovich must be. Hes the type of person that if he buys a big fuck off state of the art, best in the world yacht and then someone buys one better than his, he is absolutely gutted. If Chelsea won everything going he'd be unhappy that some manager would be taking the plaudits. He wants to be the manager himself but is so scared of ridicule and failure he darent do it. He's always grasping but never happy when he gets it.
  9. What a classless set of twats. Their spoilt bastard of an owner, greedy prostitute players and plastic flag waving bandwagon jumping twats of fans deserve each other. Di Matteo will get a huge payoff, sign an agreement not to spill the beans on Stalinovich and next year get another job, so who gives a fuck?
  10. Billy used to live around the Aigburth area, older relations told me about what a lovely unassuming bloke he was. In his day we were a one man team - Liddellpool
  11. I dont think the black society for the protection of this, that and the other does anything to improve the well being of black people. It just reinforces a feeling of victimhood, that there is no point trying because they are victims and can never succeed. That circumstances are beyond their control. Why isnt the message one of black people rising above name calling and showing other races that they are just as good and have the same chances as everyone else. Of course there is racism and it should be dealt with, but thats only half the solution.
  12. I hope we can sign someone as shit as him in January
  13. There could be a whole load of reasons he decided not to wear a poppy. It might well be due to bloody sunday, it could be he supports the IRA, perhaps loyalists murdered some family members, perhaps he is in agreement with the bombing of old soldiers wearing their poppies in Enniskillen. As mentioned he might want to play for Celtic. Whatever his reason, millions died in order for him to be able to make his own decision. Its good that he can.
  14. I dont think i'm confused, I'm talking about the turnover of players you invariably get when you constantly change managers. Each new manager wants his own new players in to build his own team. A long term manager is constantly tweaking his squad rather than constantly overhauling it. Keeping Rodgers is what FSG will do as they cant afford to fund a new manager who might not fancy Borini, Allen etc. Its a plan/strategy that might not work but I can understand it.
  15. FSG have got a plan. Bring in a young manager who will hopefully last a long time such as Wenger/Red nose, who will find young talent, play them and nurture them and then fund the odd big signing. Moan as much as you like, short of relegation, Rodgers is here to stay. They aint going to bring in a big name manager, or any manager for that matter, who will want funding for his own players. Some people will always moan, they moaned when we were winning everything in the 80's. Some people want a quick fix, its a quick fix world. Jump and down, stamp your feet and throw your rattle out of the pram but this plan aint changing. There is no other plan available, why not go with it?
  16. If you drive around the Jeremy Kyle show holding pens where most of the fuckers live, you'll see each of their huts has a fucking satellite dish. I would cut em them off and redirect the monthly subscription money they can obviously afford towards their council tax.
  17. I liked the piano analogy, 8 to carry it 3 to play it The team below of the early 70's, that won trophies, probably fit that description. Each player did its job very well without fuss, but the only ones that would get you excited when they received the ball were maybe Heighway, Keegan (although not always) and perhaps Hall/Cormack Clemence Lawler Lindsay Smith Lloyd Hughes Keegan Cormack/Hall Heighway Toshack Callaghan At the time there were plenty of flair players at other clubs playing the piano but they didnt have players to carry the thing correctly. Liverpool and Leeds did. The Leeds team didnt have many flair players perhaps Gray, Giles & Lorimer. My point is, I think but I might also be disappearing up my own arse, a good team has to get the basic boring stuff right first. Defend well, win the ball back, keep it and then try to give to the piano players in a position where they can do something with it. Liverpool were built this way.
  18. Get him Brendan and get him now. We need a winger that can take players on, commit defenders and isnt afraid to receive the ball and be creative. He is everything Downing isnt.
