  1. Give it til Xmas and he probably will be in charge. We've had a really awful run of games and it's quite conceviable that this would have been the start regardless. But yeah the negative football is certaintly a drag. And there is nothing much wrong with Raul Mereiles and Danny Wilson hasn't played.
  2. Latest on the Mirror site is Blackstone will not be re-financing Mr Hicks.... Hope that's true
  3. Associated Press have leaked that Blackstone are Hicks new partners, unless they want to force him out we're still as fucked as we we're yesterday.
  4. Dave Jones said during Thursday's game that he was injured....
  5. Thing is Hicks will be happy to sell him anyhow. Texas ended up in the Bankruptcy courts so is he bothered if another one of his teams does? I've given up on the whole shower of the club, I didn't even bother today, Ive supported them since the age of 8 been to anfield many a time but the current situation with the owners is fucking the whole team up. He will never get his pie in the sky evaluation, so will never sell up. Another recession will completely wipe Liverpool FC out and the club will be in a far worse position than a Leeds or Portsmouth. Also on the field looks dire too, I know it was a hard start but even the performances bar a half against Arsenal and in Europe have looked shambolic.
  6. Thing is barring injury to at least two of Raul M, Gerrard and Cole we need not play Poulsen and Lucas together for the rest of the season. Kuyt and Jovacavic can play in that role behind Torres, probably work better with the amount of long balls we punt forward.
  7. The players he has signed have actually all done rather well so far, Jonovavic was a Rafa signing, Cole will come good I'm sure, Konchesky looked assured and a left back who was willing to get forward and defend which is the opposite on, once Raul came on we actually looked we might actually get an attempt on target. The blokes done a decent job with little money. He should have bought a winger but we've been waiting 5 seasons so another 5 months won't make a difference. His tactics are poor, his want to play Lucas is poor but hopefully with Cole and Merieles we may improve
  8. What if you have a tea before the match because it's freezing say half an hour before so it's almost gone by the time the players stroll out.
  9. The 3 Occasions I attended last year they had penalty shoot outs in which everyone missed. They probably had a penalty shootout when the Spurs game was cancelled too, as I was to attend that one.
  10. Ot Trezguet... We do have a winger anyhow, Maxi?
  11. Most of Hogdson's signings this season have appeared from nowhere, Hopefully this rules out Cole too. Maybe we should go after Gyan.
  12. He may suit the aimless balls upfront..... I'm again not that bothered were signing Paul Konchesky, solid, reliable uninspiring but it's better than flashing 18 million on a full back who lets be honest isn't and should be moved to the wing. Carlton Cole's worry for me is his injuries and as many have said I would give my right leg for Zamora but that won't happen.
  13. I've always been happy if kyrgiakos plays in the less fashionable games as he is still a decent CB who can head the ball. Skertel cannot and the sooner we can move Agger back into the middle the better because at left back he's useless
  14. I'm actually going stick up for Poulsen, he did a decent job, hardly lost the ball and is still trying to get match sharp (I'm not going dwell on his Midfield partner, I've always been willing to give Lucas a chance but that straw snapped last year and he really can't pass, mind you the team didn't do that good a job today). Kuyt played well, Jovo not so much, Torres looked good and with fitness he would have put that one in from Gerrard's through ball. I think Woy has realised that the midfield isn't good enough and thus is why we have Meireles arriving. Plus Joe Cole is to return. I think it was woeful, but 3 points is 3 points and for today and with the players coming back I have hope but that hope is with a hint of worry. Tied with Spurs and City after 3.
  15. I would really like to see Pancheo start more games but this team above is probably more or less what we will see. I also think Kelly should play at left back rather than Agger.
  16. Yeah with Wilson, Jonjo Shelvey, Pancheo, Spearing, Kelly and the like were going look ancient. I guess you meant team.
  17. We have a good enough reserve squad with first team subs to win this tie. I've always liked the League Cup was my first trophy I witnessed Liverpool win and I enjoyed the finals we have played in since. Under Rafa we never seemed arsed so It would be nice to see Roy Respect it a bit more.
  18. I think Woy has made all the right decisions with Dani so far, picking him straight way for that Europeon Game after the Under 17's or 19's, allowing him such a high numbered shirt and Including him at least on the bench and bringing him on. I think he'll get enough games this season and I hope he makes it with us
  19. And N'Zogbia has failed to agree personal details..... I think I could find plenty of comments like that on Mascherano today that we saw from Porto fans, Do all these Porto fans speak perfect English impressive? I think he played well in The World Cup and what I've read he seems solid.
  20. There wasn't much wrong with the team we put out in the first Leg I would go with... Reina Kelly Agger Kryigkos (sic) Auerillo C Poulsen Gerrard Cole Pancheo Babel Ngog
  21. Didn't Capello win the title at Real Madrid by "shouting at the players", If I was Fabio I would say "hey Jose come back when you win the title"
  22. City and Arsenal are better teams than last year and we are worse and yet after two games against the same opposition we are no better or worse off in points than last year. He's won easily at a Canter two Europeon games and we hardly moved into second gear against Trabzanspor which he also won. Up til last night I thought his results though not brilliant were solid. Last night was woeful and he took too long to change it which really isn't Roy from what I know. His record though not amazing is one which suits the Liverpool of today, he's punched above his weight at clubs that have been unfashionable. He took Switzerland to the World Cup which was quite frankly astonishing and got them to Euro 1996. His biggest and most comparable job was at an Inter Milan side which was on the slide. It's almost bar the debts a carbon copy of our side, he achieved relative success and the Chairman of Milan has since said it was the start of the rebuild into what is one of the most successful clubs. Woy won't win us the title, at best he will be a trangression manager at worst as someone said a Fall Guy. I can see Woy going if/when new owners arrive. I generally think the guy can do it for us and he did something last night that our previous manager didn't and admitted our flaws. I'm a massive fan of Rafa but could that infighting continue? His flirting with Juventus was rather annoying after a season in which he had achieved nothing and had constantly played the same way. I felt it was time for a new guy and once he had gone we didn't really have much to choose from. I just think we would achieving the same under Rafa, remember it wasn't just Roy who played Lucas continously. The next two games are must win's for Roy and will show us where were at, also the team will get a chance to do this also. Reina needs to play on Thursday as he needs a confidence boosting win. If we lose or draw to West Bromich Albion then some of the Roy haters will have more of a point (but again too early, 10 games mim in my view) but if we don't and we get through in Europe while beating West Bromich Albion what next for Roy? the title again? Oh and this away record that keeps being mentioned... He did that with Fulham, most teams like Fulham are built to make the home ground stable and nick the odd point on the road. Can we have his Malmo away record or Switzerland away record before we start comparing like to like.
  23. Plus a 9 pt deduction means were rid of Hicks and Gillet
  24. And bar keeping Rafa which If I'm being honest would probably have resulted in much the same result (If you compare this season with last season we aren't actually down by any points after comparable games of last season and I would say both teams are better than they were and we are poorer) who was clambering to take us over.... Sparky Hughes, Sven, Steve McClaren hardly much better than Woy really. If it continues like tonight then Woy will probably go, and we could then appoint Martin O Neill.
