I'll tell you what, I think the turning point was the reaction from the Newcastle fans, he seems more determined to succeed at the club since the boos. Had an excellent alround game, yeah some areas where he needs to improve on but he's still young and developing

I do agree with you, I'm just saying that the coach will have an influence in how to play in the SC against spinners and Flower will be saying that the sweep is an effective tool Fletcher also was a believer in the sweep so you've got to think that most of these batsman would've been drilled into playing the sweep shot

It's got something to do with Flower, who was an excellent player against spin and often used the sweep shot

He's done more for this club than anyone else, as a player, manager and most importantly as a human being... I will forever respect the man 100% I'm ashamed by some so called Liverpool fans sticking the knife in at every opportunity... Yeah, we're all disappointed at the results and signings but the man has earned the respect of every Liverpool fan and doesn't deserve some of the treatment he is getting from some fans...I do hope he gets another year but that depends on himself and of course FSG... I just hope his legacy doesn't get ruined because of this because he doesn't deserve that for what he has done for this club. Yeah, the media and rival fans have every right to question him but never thought I'll see some many fans sticking the knife in as well, best fans in the world and all that...bollocks

Seems like the occasion got to him, didn't help that he was played out of position on the RW but for me, he needs to be more positive on the ball. To many times, he looked for the safe option of a back pass to Gerrard or GJ... he needs more confidence in his ability and I'm sure Kenny is telling him that he's got a long and successful career at the club I like him as a player and I firmly believe he's going to be successful. But, just feel right now, he should have a 'rest' (dropped) and play someone else on the RW. I'll be surprised if he starts against Arsenal
