  1. Why the fuck are they playing in full size goals on that size of pitch? Then trying to force them to play two touch football as if trying to be clever. All it turns into is one touch to set it second touch to blast a shot.
  2. It's dome all day for me although I dropped a 40 for 4 on resistance a few weeks ago.
  3. The Amiga was the computer of gods.
  4. It's an absolutely brilliant film. Anyone who hasn't seen this should give it a go. It's fucking heavy in places like.
  5. He's had a bad season and I think he's obviously aware of it. I've got every faith in him he'll turn it around. He appears to be one of the strongest characters we've got and I think that will make him work his fucking arse off in preseason and we will see the old Reina back.
  6. This just smacks of arrogance and that is definitely not what the club has ever been about. I think you've completely missed the point. We exist to win trophies but nobody expects it. We have no right to. Yesterday we set up in probably the correct way. Chelsea have got a better squad of players. The league table shows that. We set up to try and stifle them and break quickly with our fastest players on the wings and our world class striker up front. It didn't work but we only conceded through stupid individual mistakes. They weren't banging us but we weren't doing anything special either. After moving henderson out wide for a short time kenny then did the exact right thing. He pulled spearing who has having stinker and we went 442. At this point I reckon our best 11 in our best formation was on the pitch and it showed. We battered them for about half an hour. We were unlucky in the end. I think if we had of got the equaliser we would have won. In finals you need some luck and we just didn't get any but we've had plenty in the past so maybe that evened out a bit. I don't think we are that far off going for fourth next season. I know we say it all the time but if we can keep the players we have now and add another striker and a good winger I think we will have a good go at it. We won't have another season with this amount of bad luck again. New just need to take advantage of still having Suarez and some of our other talents before its too late. Comments about kenny won't win us the league so needs to be replaced are embarrassing. Nobody in world football could win us the league now. We need to be realistic and build from there and I think fourth is. Keep kenny in charge for another season at least as change will only start a new cycle which is more time wasted.
  7. People get carried away with the hype and names of managers. If what he did with England didn't put you off him then you are a daft. He's got a great record don't get me wrong and I'm sure he was a world class manager at one point. You only have to look at the clubs he's managed to see that. For me though managers can lose their ability and interest as easily as players can. It happens all time. Sometimes managers will fit certain clubs. If you think Capello would fit Liverpool I think you would be slightly mental. We are not like any other club. We have literally got no comparison. We are competing in a league that is basically impossible, wanting players that we are in no position to sign even though the clubs name is big enough to sign them and we have expectations as big as anyone else. We're fucked in the short term whoever is in charge. If you think bringing somebody like Capello in, who is 65, evidently past his best and who is used to spending big money and only really dealing with the best players in the world then you are simply wrong. He would manage us for how long? 3/4 years maximum? What do you think we would do in that time? We need to change the whole philosophy of the club. That seems to be happening slowly and bringing someone who is basically pre-historic in terms of football is laughable.
  8. The way to deal with lag cheats is get the grenade launcher out. It's not as good as MW2 and takes two shots a lot of the time now but the first shot acts pretty much as a stun grenade just throw the second one at the same spot and it wipes them out. There's an art to the grenade launcher and it lets you get at bad campers because you don't need to get in the line of sight to kill them.
  9. If you buy a PS3 you will be happy with it like most of my mates who have bought them. If you buy an xbox, though, it's like you have had an ignorance lifted and I doubt you will ever go back to Playstations. PS3 is basically still living off the success of the PS2. The pads haven't changed since then and it's criminal. Once you've gotten used to using an Xbox pad you realise how shite the PS3 pads are. The loading times and downloading times on the PS3 are also an absolute disgrace. The downsides to the Xbox is that you do have to pay a yearly subscription to them. It is 40 quid and I would say it's worth it. The thing I did have a gripe with was that there was no built in wireless and I went an paid 60 quid for their adapter just so I knew it would work. I am not sure if the new models have built in wifi or not. There is the reliability factor also. My xbox red ringed and wouldn't work. My PS3 owning mate buzzed off me and said it served me right for buying one. Within five days Xbox had came to my house took my Xbox and replaced it by delivering it to my work all free of charge. About 3 weeks later my mates PS3 orange lighted. Sony charged him £120 to get it fixed and it took about a month.
  10. Ebdon is probably the biggest cunt in world sport. Another fucking millionaire whinging about tax.
  11. No it isn't. You will be telling me to look at his Havant and Waterloo goal in a minute to show me what a great goalscoring midfielder he is. You don't have to remind people about random occurences that happen every 6 months when he does something good to try and justify your opinion. Everyone here has seen him well enough times to make their own judgement. Some people think he's good enough. Some don't.
  12. Scholes hasn't been world class for about 10 years. I'd say Nani and Valencia are world class.
  13. Now you are getting confused. I'm not on about specific skills/abilities of players such as speed. I am talking about the standard of them in their position. You can have bad players in certain positions so you lose the quality there but you can make it up by having better players in other positions. Man Utd are poor in the middle and not much of their good play goes through it but they have outstanding wingers who create lots of chances and score goals. TK was saying that poster made no sense when he made plenty of it. I took it that he meant Lucas is the standard of player that if the whole team was at his standard we would be on the fringes of fourth and I agree with him. Lucas is vastly overated by a lot of Liverpool fans. He doesn't do anything special near enough ever. As a centre midfield defensive or otherwise you need to have something else in your locker than just being able to pass the ball 10 yards. Lucas Leiva doesn't. We've never had a defensive minded midfielder as mediocre as Lucas that's played regularly in the past 30 years.
  14. That's actually quite good. I will start using it.
  15. Matt Le Tissier was brilliant. If you had a team full of Matt Le Tissier standard players you wouldn't have been far off the league in his era. How the fuck do people actually sign players then? Maybe that's where we are going wrong we should just sign a whole team instead because it's a team game. You either sign players that are worse, the same or better than you have. The better ones help you move further up the league than your previous season. If we didn't have Leiva then that poster would feel if we did sign him he would help us to be nearer fourth than we are and without him we would be worse. But if we were fourth in the league then we would have to sign better than him to move further up the league. To finish higher than fourth or want to win the league then the players would have to be good enough to make up for the fact they had a poorer player such as Leiva in the middle. It's quite simple really. If you look at the Mancs they have had a mediocre centre midfield for nearly a decade. They have consistently had the best wingers and forwards in the league which have made up for it. If we signed their midfield we would probably not be any better off. If we signed their wingers though we definitely would be becuase they are better than the on the fringes of fourth players we currently have on the wings. Can you see what people mean now when they describe Lucas as that?
  16. To somebody of your mental level it probably doesn't. He would have to come round your house with a knife and fork for you to understand the simplest sentence. I will try and spell it out for you but even then I imagine you might struggle. He believes that if we had a side full of players equal to that of Lucas' ability we would get to the fringes of fourth but no further. As this is not quantifiable because you would never get a side where every player is the same ability, he is saying that a player of Lucas standard on his own is of that level. In normal circumstances this wouldn't be acceptable as we want to win the league but the state we are in at the moment makes it acceptable for now. As you are one of these Lucas idiots though, your brain goes into overload when someone says he is anything other than a world class player.
  17. To be honest that remains to be seen. It's not the first area I would improve in the summer though as we seem to try to do that every year regardless of the manager. We need two really good wingers as we have done for the past 20 years. Whether we actually try do do that or just sign another 10 centre mids also remains to be seen.
  18. To be honest I prefer Gerrard playing centre mid. It's easily his best position as it uses all his best assets and he's ten times the player any of our other centre mids are. It pisses off all the mongs that think a centre mids job is just to stand 5 yards in front of the centre halves all game. For all the divvies who think Gerrard can't do a defensive role in midfield look at his early years. He played defensive minded and was the ball winner when he played but still got forward and scored some goals and did a lot more than Lucas has ever done. If you told Gerrard to do what Lucas does he could probably do it with his eyes closed. Gerrard had one season where he played well in a role behind the striker. This was when he had the best forward in the world in the form of his life in front of him and the best centre mid (bar Gerrard himself) in the world behind him. How well he played there has been massively overstated as well. I'd like to see how many direct assists Gerrard actually gave Torres that season and I bet it's not many. Never mind the fact that we actually dropped Gerrard back a number of times because we were getting beat or drawing and only went on to win because we threw two up top and put Gerrard back into centre mid. The next season Alonso went and we carried on playing Gerrard there and what happened? We started playing immensely shit. Now Torres has left and people still want Gerrard to go back there. It's absolutely fucking laughable. When was the last time any of these idiots can actually recall a good game Gerrard had there. On the Lucas point. Lucas was some sort of world beater in loads of mongs eyes when he was having mediocre game after mediocre game. He was bound to become a better player than Alonso when he got injured. Don't you remember earlier on in the season when he was playing every game and we were top of the league? Invincible we were. We would have won the damn thing if he hadn't have got injured against Chelsea. Lucas isn't a bad player anymore but I really don't think it was worth all the effort and all the games it took him to get him to the stage he's at now which is basically adequate.
  19. Everyone is saying it already but if they get beat in the final this game will have been forgotten about. Istanbul will forever be rammed down the throats of everyone for many decades to come, which is fucking brilliant.
  20. What about the other various years where their seasons have collapsed? I'm guessing that was due to them not progressing in the league cup and they just imploded through depression. Nothing to do with the two or three sides that have finished above them in recent years having bigger and better squads than them and being able to replace injured players with players of a similar quality. If you think losing the Carling cup has anything other than a very small impact if anything on the rest of a teams season especially one of the big four you're quite clearly stupid.
  21. Yeah it was definitely the devastation of losing the league cup thyat made their season go tits up. Are you for fucking real?
  22. I've come to realise that everything in life after 2005 is bad. Just accept that the Mancs have won the league and Chelsea have won the Champions league. It will make it easier to accept when it actually happens.
  23. This is one of those things that the media made a big deal about but if you actually read what was said nothing has changed. When it happened with us the rule was that the FA in the country had to decide it. They didn't and decided to try and force UEFA's hand. UEFA bottled it because the FA were putting Everton in knowing that UEFA wouldn't let us not be in it. If you look at what has been said since it's just exactly the same thing that the FA in the country has to decide.
  24. I always thought you were fairly intelligent and just had a different opinion to the majority most of the time but this post and the one previous just confirmed to me that you actually are the stupidest cunt on here. If you can't see the benefit of finishing in the top four on your next season then you may as well pack up now. A lot of the people who are arguing for the cups are in tunnel vision and are seeing the question as winning the cups and not winning the cups. You could win the cup double every year for the next ten years but if you aren't in the champions league then you are never going to win the league the following season or in future years.. For this season we were never qualifying for it so therefore the cups were the next best option. If it came down to it and you had two games of the season left, one the FA cup final and one league game you had to win to qualify for the champions league, and you HAD to rest players for one of the games, they would have to be rested in the FA Cup Final. The longer we stay out of the champions league the harder it becomes to get back in. If we spend a good five years out of it you can safely say the medium term future is pretty much fucked. If you can't see that you are as stupid a cunt as Code.
