  1. Plan B is now clearly 'pop rap' though. Roots Manuva is a decent English rapper, who has kind of stuck to his original musical roots.
  2. His songs are all quite similar though. I think he went into the studio with no plan C....
  3. Will be a tight one this. I'm going Brazil 2-1. Fabiano first goal. No money on this, but just opened a new account with that filthy manc, Betfred and lumped £50 on Fabiano anytime scorer at 6/5. This will get me a free £50 bet due back, which I will be firmly lumping on Villa to outscore Santa Cruz tomorrow at the unbelievably generous odds of 11/8.
  4. Okay, but that response seems like you're weaseling your way out of the fact that you are wrong. Pretty much all statements are open to some sort of interpretation. However, your interpretation of what Hunt said is entirely absurd, not overly generous. It's clear what he meant. Why would he come out and apologise if he didn't think he'd done anything wrong? Question (b) is only moot because you've tried to make it so by sticking to your quite frankly absurd interpretation of what Hunt said. I admire your indefatigability in defending your interpretation of what was said, but you'll be more of a man in my opinion if you fall on your sword and admit that it is clear what Hunt meant and that you are wrong to try to put a slant on it that doesn't exist. However, I know I have a long wait for this as you come across as the type of character that if the majority of people were saying that Hunt didn't make a direct comparison between Hillsborough and hooliganism, you'd be arguing vehemently that he did. However, if you want to trot out a version of events which, when looking at the situation subjectively and in sight of all the evidence, is clearly not true, to court controversy and bring attention to yourself, so be it. Strontium Dog, the Liverpool Way version of Kelvin MacKenzie.
  5. That's strange, Irishlad. I could've sworn that I heard somebody the other day saying that you love a bit of Gok once in a while....I think that's what he said.
  6. I think a more appropriate question(s) for Strontium Dog would be: People on this forum and several other forums have expressed disappointment and disbelief at the clear association of Hillsborough with football hooliganism. This is also the case with the press, printed and televisual media alike. Members of Parliament have called for meetings and even a resignation. People associated to the Hillsborough campaign and the victims families have also raised their concerns at Hunt's association of hooliganism to Hillsborough. Two questions to you, SD, stemming from the above undeniable points: (a) So, are you in effect saying that all these people have entirely misinterpreted Hunt's statement and that you are amongst the very few who have interpreted what he said correctly? and; (b) Maybe it may be time to hold your hands up and admit that you are wrong on this one. Agreed? I await your responses.
  7. I have a very similar feeling. Portugal, despite the North Korea result, aren't the most prolific of attacking teams and seem to have built the team on a strong defence. Spain, whilst having a great ability to keep the ball, don't appear to have the cutting edge they had in the Euro's and in qualifying. I think they'll struggle to break the Portuguese down. Add to this the fear of losing factor, both because it leads to getting knocked out as well as getting beaten by your local rivals, and I think both teams will be more concerned about going out to not lose the game, instead of going out to win. Plus, the games that I've really looked forward to, such as this, have tended to disappoint. A tight, tense affair indeed.....i'm going for 4-0 Spain  Seriously, it's got a tight 1-0 win or even 0-0 written all over it.
  8. Composure personified by Cardozo there. That Japanese woman with the bunny ears who was crying was stunning.
  9. Strontium Dog, question. If you genuinely believe that when referring to Hillsborough Hunt was alluding to disasters that have occurred in English football, as opposed to events which he, albeit mistakenly, believed to be caused by hooliganism, why then did he not make any reference to the disaster at Valley Parade - if applying the thought pattern which you claim he was acting under, surely he should have mentioned Valley Parade to as that was another disaster from English footballs past?
  10. Micheal Asbestos is a quality shout. However, the rantings of the rest of the post are akin to those of a bitter bluenose. For that reason, I'm out. Shit post.
  11. Nah. I just don't tolerate laziness or stupidity.
  12. I'm boycotting this thread as I started my own Brazil v Chile thread which has been neglected because of this thread! Brazil 2-1, Fabiano first goal. This will be my only input on this shit thread!
  13. He's probably lurking offline, with a tub of vaseline while he frantically tugs himself as he revels in the joy of causing another online "controversy"
  14. Nobody has started a thread, so I may as well. It's meant to be on ITV, but the program has been on for a good 10 minutes and they're still talking about England and getting all hysterical. Back to the game at hand. Think this will be tighter than people expect. Brazil to win by the odd goal in 3. Fabiano first goal (PLEASE!) Discuss.
  15. Don't think Agger did too bad either. Also, isn't Robinho still technically a Premiership player.
  16. Posts like this do my head in. You've obviously got the internet. It's breaking news. Just have a look yourself then you'll find out. Ignoramus.
  17. Strontium Dog, I can appreciate that you have an on-line persona which likes to try and be all edgy and court controversy, but come on, you've picked the wrong topic to do it with here. Stop being a dick and trying to defend the indefensible by putting an utterly absurd interpretation on what Hunt said. He was quite clearly discussing football hooliganism, which is clear by the initial question which he was responding too. He laid down his general point and then went on to give historical examples of what he believed to be hooliganism by English fans. In doing this, he erroneously included Hillsborough in his example. So, basically, he was extremely ignorant and shot himself in the foot. There is absolutely no other plausible explanation to what he said and, Strontium Dog, if you try to suggest that there is you will lose the remainder of the extremely small amount of credibility which you still have on this site.
  18. Slash looks a lot like John "Portsmouth Football Club" Westwood up on the stage. Why don't Axl and Slash just get their shit sorted and reform the original G n' R line up (apart from Steven Adler)? It's what everyone wants.....
