It's a comparable point to make that Benitez did exactly the same thing with genuine underachievers. I used to despise the Fergie-o-cam which Sky introduced to the game of football (conveniently cutting away from Slur's foul-mouthed rants), but that egomaniac is a class apart: it is all about him.
