  1. "Jones" but yes, I absolutely agree. The VAR Darren "little" Englander had made his mind up and just wanted to convince the tubby lad with the whistle.
  2. It's bad and it gives a sense of moral high ground as it was poor officiating throughout. They only showed the ref one angle for the Curtis tackle. No way did Mo foul their covering defender when he fell over when we were in on the edge of the box. I also saw two "card waving" gestures that were ignored. We can be really proud. We are a proper, hard-to-beat football team. The real deal. We were robbed of a point today. Jota let us down. Poor decision making in that moment. He could have gone down for a foul himself, and although he bounced off the second covering defender which probably influenced his split-second decision, he should never have dived in like that. We rightly feel hard done by, but actually it's no worse than what happened at Spurs the other year with the Kane no red / Jota no pen debacle. A couple of things... I am annoyed at Trent for jogging back into shape 10 secs before the switch to their right and the game-winning ball into the box. We just needed that edge to be sharper and see it through. He'd been milking the crowd a minute earlier, so I don't know where his adrenaline went. It just seems to drain from him. Stay sharp, focused, determined. I also ABSOLUTELY HATE that Maddison. (There was far too much love for that little sneak on TLW Pod the other week). Mouthing off, in the ear of the ref all afternoon. He's a tart and a poser. Made for Tottenham.
  3. The Church of England, not known for its high bar for entry, wouldn't ordain him. He is mocked as a cosplay priest, but I find him really sinister. I know most people on here are outspoken against Christianity/the Christian church, and I do understand that, but the truth is that Jesus was born into poverty, lived as a refugee, cared for the under class and lived a life of compassion and sacrifice. People like that bloke who looks like an unwelcome guest at a tarts and vicars party are just vicious bigots who live life as the antithesis of Jesus' teachings. He likes the God of Leviticus, and hates Jesus of well, the four gospels. He is offensive.
  4. You're painting the wrong picture of this lad. He was actually waving.
  5. Ange looks like he couldn't motivate a darn thing. I bet his sex face is exactly the same as his resting face. He looks and sounds like a bored shaved Chewbacca. If Spurs do what they did against Arsenal in terms of those bizarre passing triangles in their own defensive third, we will absolutely swamp them. *(I do concede that after watching that excruciating exchange with that bitter pundit in Aus on YouTube, I am made up he made it to this level. But he still looks like a divorced dad who doesn't look after himself and kips in his car.)
  6. He'll be emitting small dick energy all over the place. And she has a detector for that sort of thing.
  7. First choice Second choice Mason Mount Dominik Szoboszlai Mario Gotze Sadio Mane Julian Brandt Mo Salah Piotr Zieliński Gini Wijnaldum Jamal Lewis Kostas Tsimikas Keep 'em coming! There's some real sliding doors stuff here. Makes me wonder if we're good at this transfer lark or really lucky!
  8. Passive-Aggressive Pep. He also makes a point of having in-depth conversations with opposition players on the pitch after they lose. He really lays it on thick hoping he comes across as a "good sport" and an inspiration to others. But he really, really doesn't. He just oversteps the mark and comes across as a bad loser.
  9. I'd love to see this as a list. It seems to be the case that it has happened a few times under/just before Klopp, but if anyone can continue the list below, I'd be grateful! First choice Second choice Mason Mount Dominik Szoboszlai ? Sadio Mane
  10. If I just read that correctly, Melanie Sykes says that Keith Lemon is not nice and made 'inappropriate' jokes. Surely this is a million miles away from Brand behaviour? The Mirror story is just exploiting the public's current appetite for unacknowledged deviancy. This type of reporting actually diminishes the situation regarding Brand. Keep him in the cross-hairs, and don't distract from it - it just gives the Telegraph/GB News fuel to justify their morally-bankrupt stance. On the evil pervert continuum, Brand is nearer to Saville than he is to Lemon. Get him to court.
  11. "Your honour, my client Ronald Biggs has estimated that he has travelled thousands of times on public transport. Statistically, then, there is only a 0.4% chance that he actually shot them blokes and robbed the train. We motion for dismissal."
  12. "That's RIGHT. You heard me. Unlock instant access to a scalable, multi-club platform." "Mum?" "Ok, I will tidy it up. Can my friends come round if I do?"
  13. The fact one of their players did the old "run fast shielding the ball, then slow down a little to get barged into and fall over for free kick/pen" and got rewarded makes me even more annoyed that seemingly the only person that has ever been called out for this is Diogo Jota at White Heart Lane the other year (which, if we'd converted the resultant pen meant we won the league...). But then we're back on baldy Manc refs and surely that's a place nobody wants to go.
  14. Maybe the women of the initial accusations don't expect to get justice. They just needed to share their stories and this would help with their recovery and also shine a spotlight on an odious deviant. And in the full knowledge they were blazing a trail for the more litigious (and non-media spotlight) cases that would inevitably follow.
  15. He's done more in the few games this season than he did in the whole of last season. I think people had their doubts because he lacks finesse and is a little awkward in his style. But also, for a big lad, he isn't the battering ram type either. He's something in between. He's looked brilliant, and is obviously more confident and happy. His friendship with Diaz is obviously part of that. I am pleased for him, but I am more pleased for us. We took a bit of a gamble and it looks like it might pay off. He's turned this doubter into a believer. It's going to be a great season.
  16. "Why didn't these women go to the police?" This comes from female media figures with a significant platform. Because Brand is now on the right and also has an alt-right following in America, he is worthy of defending - and his alleged victims are worthy of attack. Real "sisterhood" stuff... Well, for a start there are the statistics: Nearly 70% of rape victims drop out of investigations in England and Wales. One can only guess why, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the vast majority aren't because the women made the whole thing up. Recent figures are not as relevant to these cases, but are still worthy of note: For victims, reporting rape is effectively a lottery and the odds are rarely in your favour. In the year to December 2021, there were 67,125 rape offences recorded – an all-time high. Yet the number of completed rape prosecutions plummeted from 5,190 in 2016-17 to just 2,409 in 2020-21. The numbers of convictions almost halved (2,689 in 2016/17 compared to 1,409 in 2020/21). Only 5% of rapes that were given an outcome by the police in the year ending December 2021 resulted in a charge. See also: Under 1% of reported rapes lead to conviction There's also the commonly-held view that the Met Police are misogynistic in nature and culture (only NOW being explored since the Casey Report). Added to this is the power differential in the alleged rapist being a hugely powerful and wealthy person with influence and resources massively beyond your own. A person who, despite all of these acts which left women traumatised and emotionally broken, did not even break stride. He raped you one day, and he's strutting around with people fawning around him a day later on your television. I am not likening women to children, but to draw a comparison for a second, asking why the women did not go speak out is like asking why a child did not report their abuser. More than one of the women spoke about feeling like they were to blame, experiencing guilt and having feelings about feeling dirty. This is common amongst victims of sexual abuse. There was also the thinking that a lone voice would be trampled down as vicious and vindictive trying to "bring a successful man down". See GB News and The Telegraph for confirmation. If it wasn't for the Times/C4, these women would carry that experience to their graves. Just like all of the thousands of women before them. Rich, powerful men abusing women for sex has almost become an accepted part of the culture. Imagery embedded in the culture (even such a beautiful young woman on the arm of an old, ugly millionaire) has warped our thinking. There will be many a exploitative rich, powerful man losing a bit of sleep about now. Many of them from the entertainment industries. I hope they are all held to account. And this shameless, malignant abuser is a great place to start.
  17. Saint and Greavsey when it was called something else. ITV always seemed more rebellious and better. But then when they started believing their own hype and their personalities became more important than the content, I went back to safe old Bob on the BBC. I blame the Saint and Greavesy formatting for the abomination that was Soccer AM. I was talking to a bloke recently who was going on about how brilliant Soccer AM was and because minutes earlier I'd vehemently disagreed with him about something, I had to let it pass without challenge. A grim experience. On reflection I should have doubled down and started chanting, "Who are ya? Who are ya?" at him.
  18. Most likely she's seeking revenge for "being cancelled". In this case, like 90% of the other cases, "being cancelled" meaning "not getting big gigs any more". See also the bloke out of Lewis and Russell Brand. And Right Said Fred.
  19. Even though he's the type of bloke who wears driving gloves and has a piece of carpet on his toilet seat, I just can't hate him. Thank you for your service, sir, and for giving us some great, great memories. Godspeed, little man!
