  1. he did fit the criterea of 10 years as a manager in 2003 but you had to have attended the diploma course that same year to get it and the deadline as of 2010 was 12 weaks... uefa will be crapping themselves,i can see it now all thinking are you going to tell him or shall i...lol come on platini if you think your hard enough....:P
  2. full list of people who have it on wikipedia couldnt see Kenny there, sammy lee has it as does roy hodgson no doubt because of his 35 years experience.
  3. the company that does hawkeye said they could do this, the interesting thing is im sure that company is up for sale or has recently been sold. And i wonder wether the sale or immenent sale of this company and who to has any baring on the about turn by FIFA.
  4. it would be logical if someone like him where to have an interest in a team for it to be hidden in some way to stop the club being held to ransom on transer costs in the way some of the rich clubs are.
  5. i think something was mentioned in his contract about new owners can get rid of him withing 28 days of taking over with a cost of only 1 years wages not the full contractual agreement so i would guess he has 28 days at most.
  6. they could take hicks and gillett out of the equation alltogether and just apply to put liverpool in administration this afternoon,it really would save so many problems, they may have discussed this with nesv and they are willing to take the 9 point hit.
  7. thats ok hicks will just chuck it on his slate.
  8. so who was the company that gillett defaulted on another loan to recently for 75 million, could that be who (ors..others) are,and what the implications of that if that was against the club or kh or whatever.
  9. it wouldnt suprise me if someone else doesnt jump in at the last minute, its happened before. certainly a chance to get one of the greatest names in world football for a very good price.
  10. this to me stinks of yet another pair of american out of their depth. They dont have enough money to buy this club, pay for a stadium and buy players. indeed player costs in football far exceed player costs in baseball. i just hope like the last sale someone is waiting in the wings to gazump these two otherwise i fear its going to be many more years of problems...i do hope im wrong.
  11. wether he has fulfilled his duties has yet to be seen, all i know is that if it wasnt for broughton how do you think the boards voting with regards financing would have gone...2 against 2 and im sure hick and gillette would have held casting vote....so however the next week or so goes we should be able to thank him for one thing.
  12. scare the bank and appease the fans....hicks and his stooges are so predictable.
  13. 13th richest in the world worth about 22 billion h&m fashion.is a football fan and already has ties to a swedish team. liverpool bjorn again :P
  14. i cant believe the after match interview....he's talking about difficult to come from behind against a team of blackpools quality... yes i have to say blackpool are very refreshing to watch, but liverpool allowed them to play how they did...and if he puts blackpool on a pedestal as a quality side find my self asking what does he consider quality....when he went for the job what did he put to the board as his targets...at the moment he isnt even fulfilling the targets a new team in the premiership would hope to be fulfilling. what planet is this man on...:wallbutt:
  15. yes was diffinatly next to him early on in the game.
  16. it does seem ironic that many of the regular supporters and quite probably season ticket holders are so quick to be judgmental and ridicule those who are not.indeed does this mean liverpool only effectively has 25 or so thousand fans and thus making it the worst supported club in the premiership? not every supporter can have a season ticket and the guy who started this thread should not be riduiculed for the fact he hasnt got one. these are sad times for this club and all i see is division in the fan base everywhere when the fans are the one thing that should be united(sorry if thats a poor choice of words). these divisions wether they be from some boycotting, some not, some protesting some not are all going lead to the downfall of liverpool as a club as it was known. id suggest that many of you "supporters" in whichever way it may be get off any horses you have, stand together and just maybe, maybe you may be heard.
  17. he has his back to the wall, and, the sad thing is the more you owe the banks the less chance their is of them trying to do anything too drastic.he will get refinancing and his asking price will go up...probably 7-800 million....i fear it is going to be a very very slippery slope for a long time to come yet.
  18. i actually mentioned avram grant in the next liverpool manager thread. ok,so he likes the odd visit to a massage parlour. but he has shown that he has core values with the way he has conducted himself at portsmouth.looking at the players in the final they really seemed to have that club pride in the spirit they showed, and to me that must filter down from the manager. he shows the qualities that, and i know i will get stick for this,he gives the impression he could be what wenger is to arsenel,or what ferguson is the man u.i get the impression he would instill true values into the players and show them not just how they can play better but how great the club is,make them proud to be a part of it. i may be talking shite but thats the impression he gives.
  19. no mention of avram grant, did really well at chelsea and i think given the opportunity would love the chance to be able to prove himself as the more than capable manager he is. in my opinion he could suprise quite a few people.
