  1. Potter taking the Chelsea job was a no brainer. Absolute zero sense in him turning it down regardless of how it turned out. Ridiculous to suggest otherwise.
  2. Not expecting Starmer to change anything really once he becomes PM (and he will). I expect a cabinet that is more united and competent, largely free of the scandals that’s plagued the tories, but in terms of actual money in our pockets/policy etc would expect to be just as worse off. It’s not an easy job don’t get me wrong but he’s not shown anything concrete to suggest he has the imagination to navigate this shitstorm. Think he’ll just resort to the current Roy Hodgson’esq lowest common denominator cost cutting bullshit path we are currently on.
  3. PR would be an absolute disaster for Labour, would kill the party stone dead. It wouldn’t even be of benefit to the wider country, it wouldn’t curb the excess of the tories it would embolden them. The left can barely organise a piss up between them since they’re at each others throats every minute, surely the past 5 years or so has taught us that. What makes anyone think they’ll suddenly start working together under harder party political lines. At best you’ll get a sterile paralysis within government where absolutely fuck all gets done. Hopefully it never sees the light of day.
  4. Thought Lynch handled it alright tbh, maybe was a bit disingenuous but it all got completely overshadowed by Madeleys ego and he ended up looking like a tit (shock) so no real harm done. A better interview might have made skewered him better.
  5. Tbf some of you seem to turn into Evertonians when it comes to England.
  6. Warrington and his fucking head at it again
  7. This Lopez looks strong should make for a good contest
  8. https://techclips.net/49226/f3/?sport=boxing
  9. Would be nice to see the cunt behind bars rather than on a world tour explaining his predatory practices.
  10. What a performance from this team, one of the very best that I can remember. To force a result on this pitch was incredible. What an amazing turnaround from 12 months ago.
  11. Whatever happens it’s been an incredible performance from England from start to finish. Deserve to win it but think they’ll just run out of time.
  12. https://twitter.com/mtaibbi/status/1598822959866683394?s=46&t=bS61bMDsi4YzdbMQ3AxZCQ Not sure how to embed it properly but this is it, Elon endorsed it. Might have to wait awhile as the guy for some reason seems to be explaining it in about a 1000 tweets atm
  13. Probably getting ahead of myself and it’s bold but really starting to get the impression this team is going to redefine test cricket the way it did with ODI’s. I know it’s flat but really don’t think any team has it in them to play the way this team does. Not sure how it feel about it though as the competition between bat and ball seems to have been lost.
  14. Isn’t this his intention though? To move away from a model generating revenue by relentlessly mining of customer data for advertisers. Whether it works or not is anyones guess at this point but don’t see the issue with the direction it’s heading at the moment. Musk is a prick (that Thai diver stuff was embarrassing), but I do find it odd how he seems to ignite a certain reaction from liberals not to dissimilar to Trump. There’s been a real sense of desperation for him to fail at every opportunity with this.
  15. The FTX stuff is quite unbelievable levels of greed. I actually lost a few quid on there which sucks but nothing fatal. They were essentially gambling with people’s funds and lost it all, despite playing in his own house with his own rules where he could see all the cards. Takes an incredible level of greed/recklessness to still lose it from that point. SBF is a psychopathic piece of shit, and the way the New York Times and other liberal outlets have reported on the fallout of this has been some of the most disgraceful reporting I’ve seen in a long time. I guess that’s what happens when you are the second highest Democratic donor. Lost faith that he will face any punishment for what he has done. Still walking around now like nothing has happened. Cunt.
  16. What was his overall view on the Autumn statement? Not paid too close attention to it but seems the Tories and Labour are largely in agreement unless I’ve missed something. Don’t see much to look forward to unless that changes, not opposing the largest drop in living standards in a generation is not a good look.
  17. Find it genuinely incredible that people still think the tories are just one half competent leader away from turning around a 20+ point deficit over Labour. But then I see it’s the same people who have been hopelessly out of step of public opinion for nearly a generation and realise its over for the tories If it wasn’t clear enough already the tories are finished for a generation at worst. They will be obliterated in the next election. There is no one coming to save them.
  18. Bayern have won 10 league titles on the spin and it’s odd it’s a 1 team league because they’ve had a dodgy start? Come on.
  19. Just can’t my head around the Bellingham stuff. Seems like a complete pipe dream considering the way we are with transfers, but see it cropping up time and time again.
  20. Like everything, it’s gone to shit the past year, but it’s definitely something worth keeping an eye on. Youre right about not being part of government plans, it’s what drawn me towards crypto as it’s a shot at a better life that’s in my own hands and is very accessible, even if it is a casino. That is the hand that a lot of us have been dealt so best to try and make the most of it.
  21. Yes and they are currently 17 points ahead in the polls so looking good on that front. Second bit you’re not wrong, but I don’t see any better options, could just be framed as undoing Tory gerrymandering even if it is morally questionable.
  22. I don’t disagree, but I don’t think that’s a bad thing necessarily. It serves to quash the more batshit elements of public opinion. I would worry about the empowerment of extremist groups especially in this world we’re in currently, and the state of the union which Labour needs to survive, it’s the only thing left that Labour have to cling to in terms of national identity. The tories have the ingerland till I die element wrapped up. Would be much better off just redrawing the boundary lines to suit Labour more if that’s the case, seems a much safer bet. Although I may be oversimplifying it a bit.
  23. Don’t really understand the obsession with PR and what the benefits would be for Labour or more importantly the wider country as a whole. The country is divided enough as is and this would just stoke it further. It’s easier to make deals and provide unity within a single party than in dysfunctional coalitions which is what I suspect is all we would end up getting.
  24. Fury fans seem to have replaced McGregors fans as the most insufferable dickheads going. Is it any wonder Fury pulls this shit when these brainlets defend his every move. The guy is a boring dickhead these days repeating the same tired shite over and over with his army of ladbible morons to defend him. Not that it will but sincerely hope Joshua absolutely sparks him if it ever happens.
