  1. Didn't know that - thanks. Still wants to listen and learn as a pundit, doesn't sound arrogant at all, genuinely talks sense. Still can't believe I'm saying it.
  2. My favourite pundit by far now - and I can't believe I'm saying that but he really is and he likes us despite his history with Utd
  3. My notes from attending the game Football - good entertainment, cheap, easy to get to, choose your own seats. Big gaps between the lines, lumbering centre backs, lots of passing back to keeper who was quite shite. Game ebbed and flowed a lot. No really stand out players - would have been interesting to see what I thought of certain players if I hadn't known anything about them. Rossiter was good defensively when he wasn't overwhelmed but his passing was poor. Wilson was lively on the ball but didn't see enough of it. Ryan Kent had a couple of runs but looked off the pace. Canos came on as a sub and had a great impact with the ball and without. Randall was really solid as right back, McGuire was overrun in the first half but then looked solid. Trickett-Smith a much better option up front than Kent. Ojo looked almost like he played within himself but did pretty well.
  4. Flanno has shown it over a dozen or so games whereas Kelly had shown it over a few dozen games IMO. Both at similar heights but wrong to say Flanno is the future until he's done it for quite a lot longer. Not being negative but we've all seen purple patches that don't reflect a career- I hope it does though.
  5. If he can add the 10+ goals a season that his positions justify and if Sterling can get the 15+ goals that his play merits we will be in a very good place indeed - and I think over the next 2 years both players will step up.
  6. Where does Kelly fit in moving forwards? To be honest he's shown an awful lot more than Flanno over the course of their short careers but he hasn't shown much since his injuries. Do we move him inside, loan him, sell him or have him compete for RB with Flanno & McLaughlin
  7. I'm going to a conference there next week. Staying on Rodeo Drive. I've got about 8 hrs on Tues and 4 hrs on Friday PM free - thinking of doing a bus tour but any other suggestions welcome.
  8. It's a queen wasp looking for a nesting site. Kill it and you're done. Feel free to dole out a free sub to the most relevant post.
  9. I love a high class breakfast buffet. My 2 best are Paris Hotel Las Vegas and Pennyhill Park Surrey. I love hash browns with my breakfast. Beans are a given...
  10. Can someone please repost the hilarious painting of Moyes from when he was at Everton - the one about not having to win trophies to be a real winner?
  11. Is Cissohko fit, cause if he is I expect him to play and if not it'll be Johnson and Kelly with Smith on the bench.
  12. I love Christmas because of cheese. Last year I spent about £25 in Waitrose on cheese, this year it's about £40 from Waitrose and a cheese shop. What have you bought?
  13. haven't seen any of the game - why did Flanno get subbed? Good to see Kelly get on whatever the reason as I was starting to worry about him not recovering from his injury.
  14. I love seeing Utd suffer but as some have already said we do not want Moyes sacked because they'll replace him with someone better.
  15. I'd give Armageddon 8/10, The Village 7/10 and Hunger Games 7.5/10 out of interest what kind of stuff do you like?
  16. Seen it today and thought it was amazing. It's not anything other than an action movie, it's not trying to be Citizen Kane but it's reached the top of its genre IMO. All cliches but I jumped, gripped the arms on the seat too tight and even had something in my eye at one point. The cinematography was out of this world I'd be gobsmacked if it doesn't win Oscars for that, the direction, the effects and the sound. Not sure about the actors being oscar winners - I used to fancy the pants off of Bullock and she always had very sharp features but as she's ageing her face is starting to look weird - I'm not sure it's surgery (unlike, say, Tom Hanks off the top of my head) it might just be her unusual contours getting more pronounced. To counter that Clooney seems to age perfectly the bastard. Hope he's got a tiny cock.
  17. FWIW I thought FM 2013 was shite. I was one of the majority who just couldn't get any run of results with the new match engine (not the graphics engine, but the bit that works out who wins and why). I've bought FM 2014 on the strength of one review which acknowledged this and said it's been "fixed" for this version. I've only played a dozen or so games but am hoping it's true.
  18. This is an amusing anecdote from my game. I sold Lucas for £28m to City and went looking for an energetic midfielder. Agreed a deal for Draxler but he turned me down but eventually I was delighted to sign Bender for about £16m. A couple of weeks later I thought I'd found a bug when an agent offered me Bender - I laughed and thought I'll click on him just to see what happens - turns out he has a ******** twin! I never knew and I think I've signed the wrong one
  19. I'm not sure about the first it might have been Wham The Final at Wembley Stadium and the last was Bruce Springsteen Wembley Stadium
