The key difference was that Karius made a number of fuck ups before the final, and also didn't ever look like the sort of goalkeeper that could win us games by making world class saves. His career or lack of it since he went out on loan speaks volumes.

The three of the were perfectly suited to our system last season. Our system doesn't work as well without VVD in it, and to a lesser extent Gomez though.
