Will go down as one of the all time greats. Wouldn't swap him for any other player around today.

Classic film - more from an era when a film relied on having a good storyline rather than special effects.

There are a few problems that can be laid at Hicks's door. I'm not sure the Keane deal is one of them.

I think it is good to have a few fans from other clubs here to offer another perspective on things.

I think if Zola/ Clarke continue to do well, they may end up at Chelsea at some time in the future. Even if it was years from now, would the BBC say they were planning it all along and ask for thier money back? It seems West Ham are a club were talent passes on through

I would consider it but just not sure about Nick Clegg. Seems to be a bit of a Blair/ Cameron clone. Don't like the cut of his jib!

I was never a big fan of Kuyt but I think he has improved greatly over the last season. He still has his workrate but has added some important goals and assists. He is not an easy player to play against. It may have taken him time to adjust to a much better league.

The use of dreams/fantasies/dead characters in TV series
3 Colours Red replied to Remmie's topic in GF - General Forum
I think all this dream sequence nonsense started with Dallas in the 1980's. Bobby Ewing is killed in the programme and gets written out. Next series, his wife, Pammy, wakes up and finds him in the shower. It was all dream. The events that occurred in all the episodes after his death were also dismissed as a dream. I think thats what happened, barely watched the programme myself. -
The point has been raised that in the whole scheme of things, this is a trvial matter which maybe fair comment. It is just interesting to see what subjects anger the British public. Things like this anger people but matters like going to war to prevent weapons of mass destruction being operated within 45 mins now largley pass without comment. As lies go, that was a whopper.

There was a chain of them in Liverpool City Centre years ago called Matt's Hotdogs. I was tempted once when very hungry but when I got close it looked like the bloke had spent a lifetime dodging soap. Gave it a miss.

Another day has seen move revalations regarding MP's expenses. The issue seems to have united all parties in defending themselves against allegations that they have had their fingers in the till. Their standing must now be at an all time low. They are a disgrace. This is all the more annoying from a government that has spent its time thinking up new taxes or revising the scope of benefits in kind to include anything that might remotely be seen as a perk. I feel the only solution is a boycott of elections ( not the European ones because nobody would notice the difference ) All voters should abstain from voting unless there is a first time candidate standing untainted by the past. Its the only way to clear the crooked dead wood.

Rachel de Thame of one of the gardening programmes. Looks gorgeous, lovely voice and would do the gardening for you. Doesn't get better than that.

The stream I am watching has a cockney co-commentator who struggles with English " For me, he ain't done narfin in this game" Is it too much to ask for them to speak the language?

Crappiest place you've been to in the UK

I have lived in a few of Liverpools roughest areas but nothing prepared me for an afternoons walk around Millom in Cumbria. Bleak, isolated and scary
