  1. Aye humans and human nature always the weak link. Hollyhead on 19th then London on 22nd god knows with the travel time from Bulgaria what our emergency services are faced with.
  2. Not a time for political posturing but how are we going to be able to complete custom checks along the Irish sea when a container like this misses all checks ? Ok probably an inside job but how easy must it be to smuggle drugs into this country when a container with 39 humans in it goes undetected. All this shit about technology providing or going to provide solutions yeah right . Absolutely shocking the terror for the casualties does not bear thinking about.
  3. Not understanding the negativity around England. Unfortunately now I’m an impartial observer and England were seriously impressive today especially their defence. It will be a tight one score match in that semi. However Mr Itojie needs to stop the fist clenching and whooping when a situation goes England’s way. They all do it to an extent but he is the one you see . You won’t see any NZ players at that knobish carry on. Otherwise actually hope England can turn them over best of luck.
  4. Correct hateful fixture prefer the near certainty of the Derby. I hate being overwhelming favourites need to treat them as a poor Burnley and just get a difficult fixture out of the way.
  5. Can't find it but someone needs to post the team they ended up with on the pitch last year which in effect was ten men cause rashford was out of game bit on pitch. We couldn't and didn't look like beating them. Knock the tribal optimism on the head a scrappy win will do save the pummeling for Anfield and witness the last rites to the Ole era.
  6. Excuses aside and there have been plenty he has been poor. I was expecting a hot headed box to box midfield enforcer who had great engine and could play a bit. Not what I see on pitch. Since he highly rated in Germany I propose a swap plus cash for Havertz before Munich swoop.
  7. If Gerrard has been sounded out as Klopps replacement something I am not entirely comfortable with (possibility of fans turning against a legend) who better to be one of the coaching team than someone who has been on the full journey with Jurgen. Has everything required to be coach at LFC.
  8. Refs need to take leaf out of Nigel Owens officiating yesterday. He pulled England captain aside after 3 mins and said " I dont care if it is the start of the match if any more fouling someone will be sent off or binned. 100%correct 2nd minute same as 89th. I watched the match yesterday where nearly all our players were fouled, outside the box middle of the field. All professional fouls allowing teams time to get reorganised. Simple tactic with weak ref wrecked the game as a spectacle. Refs need to forget about VAR and start adhering to basics of officiating and protect the team trying to play football.
  9. Going against grain here bit the criticism Gomez is getting is slightly misplaced. Rusty yes but in my opinion VVD was very casual and not as commanding last night. It has crept into his game recently and Joel is used to covering for him. Gomez looked good on ball and showed great covering speed admittedly cause he was out of position initially but he more Rio than Smalling from what I see. On VVD I think we need to make him captain sooner rather than later give him the responsibility of shaking team up when match is drifting. Cannot keep relying on Milner.
  10. Pretty much spot on . Would just add Gomes confirmed my suspicion that he is an excellent center back Jurgen needs to drop the idea he can cover full back positions. Between the wages we paying lallana and the transfer fee we paid for Kieta not plumping for /identifying Madison a couple of years ago our biggest transfer "miss" for a while we need a young milner currently James better than those two put together. Cannot win them all.
  11. Weird game defences played well but there were good chances for both sides . We lacked a bit of composure (not greed) and they hounded firmino to his least effective game of the season. That's it in a nutshell. On a side note Fabinho currently playing out of his skin going to need a rest soon. Anyone got his match stats ?
  12. Atrocious journalism. Do we expect anything else ? Nowadays VIZ is less sensationalist than that rag
  13. Saw Havertz against N.ireland. yes please get deal done send Keita other way soften the blow. Lad is a talent. On flip side Brandt just ok no where near anything we have and the less said about Werner the better. The level of scouting on this forum needs to step up.
  14. Corbyn whatever your own personal opinion a marmite character. Unfortunately perceptions rather than policies tend to hold sway with voters. Quite possible Corbyn could win a general election but I feel it would be without a substantial majority necessary for stable functional government. I was wondering if this is potential leader that could deliver a landslide ? My point in general is that neither party seem to have candidates that are placed to unify party and country I was wondering if he might.
  15. All started by Cameron in order to placate the ERG faction of the conservatives and fend of Farage's party at local elections All about conservative party unity nothing more nothing less. Well Dave that worked out well.
  16. Think it was measured response/reply from our captain. I personally believe Mane is the best finisher of the three (even scores with head ) and I think he feeling confident and in good form. So pass the ball lads or bury it yourself. On the plus side nice to be relying on more than one talisman playing out of his skin to win matches. We have three on fire plus others chipping in all good.
  17. Gerrard , Alonso don't really care as long as they are part of the Klopp setup in his last season . Continuity of recruitment, transfers and playing style is required. I echo other posters here who are surprised at negativity towards Stevie. Quite simply he could have retired to the pundit chair instead he has shown he wants to be a manager. If he shows himself to be off the required quality then yes he does deserve to jump to the head of the queue as a future LFC manager based on what he did for the club during his playing career.
  18. Not sure everyone on forum looking a big money signing more when we were at our peak we had subs like Fairclough , Walsh and Rosenthal to throw on and change a game. It could well be Divock this year or a combination of him and Brewster all I know is when listening to radio in the 70s and 80s and I heard Fairclough or Walsh coming on cert we were going to win . Hope big div can have a super sub year like the back end of last season .
  19. Aye you talk sense I have affection for talented footballers who just don't fit into the norm luxury players. Always liked Berbatov, Molby, Yeboah , Ginola types thank God I am not in charge of recruitment.
  20. Got a lift today hearing the shaq over his injury get the wee man fit and he will cover front three and take our free kicks from just outside box. Calling it now he will have a stellar season .
  21. Has to be no deal Brexit no option now. Straight after deed is done he will call a general election looking to get larger majority for the negotiation part of the withdrawal process. As someone said complete shit show
  22. The candle that burns twice as bright lasts half as long , and you have burned so very very brightly , Roy.
