  1. I can see what you mean, but I still don't see an equivalence between the headlines and the content. She mentioned that the economy was similar at the end of the seventies and that she wants sustainable long term growth and an end to managed decline (which I believe was a Thatcher policy). The papers have decided the headline rather than Reeves. Don't have an opinion on her either way, but I'll say it again, she didn't say she was Thatcher at all.
  2. Which one? He certainly didn't touch the ball first in the challenge on MacAllister.
  3. I've read that a couple of times and she doesn't seem to mention the name Thatcher at all. In fact, she says that her version of growth will be different to Thatcher's.
  4. Not watching it, but if there's nobody there disputing this or offering an alternative viewpoint, then it's little more than propaganda.
  5. Said it on another thread, but the absolute irony of the calls for redistribution of wealth from the top flight to the rest of the football pyramid would be hilarious if it weren't hypocritical as fuck.
  6. What the fuck does that even mean? Players aren't supposed to approach other players to challenge for the ball now? The pricks make it up to suit themselves
  7. Just checked and it's called Le Cercueil. Gone downhill since I went judging by the reviews.
  8. Went to a bar in Brussels once with coffins for tables and the drink served in black glasses. Or maybe I dreamed it. Was a great bar though.
  9. There have been daffodils coming up in the front and back gardens for a few weeks now. The snowdrops are still there too. The lilac tree is coming too life as well. It did the same last year, but then a cold snap seemed to cut short the time it spent in blossom. It all seems alot earlier, but that might just be me.
  10. I give you the chair of Ofcom... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Grade
  11. It's part of that victim mentality that the right seem to want to propagate. If it's not "the elite" (which makes me laugh when the likes of Farage or Johnson say it), it's "the woke" and this feeling that they're not allowed to say anything. Yes, you are allowed, but don't cry when other people think you're a bit of a cunt for doing so.
  12. Hopefully now people will stop predicting that we'll hammer them every time we play them. Yes, they're shit, but they're jammy and shit and more than capable of nicking results if you're not at it. Which we weren't today. Oh well, as others have said, maybe this'll focus minds for the league game.
  13. Fair enough, but there have been loads of occasions (not just this game) where Nunez has made a run off the shoulder of a defender only for Harvey (and he's not alone in this) to take too long for the pass. Anyway, bit churlish to be pointing this out when he's just done that.
  14. Elliott takes way too long to make up his mind what he wants to do. Edit: What do I know
  15. Utd picking up all the 2nd balls here. Need to pick up.the intensity again.
  16. 30-31. That seemed like a long advantage - 33-31 now.
  17. I took it as a reference to "feel the buzz"
  18. Jammy twats. Would like this to go to pens, with City going out hopefully.
  19. Bbc showing City's players getting off the coach. Fucking hell, everything about that club makes me cringe.
  20. Yeah, I heard that as well. Didn't think it sounded right.
  21. The obvious solution is to completely separate VAR from pgmol. Put officials in there who have no contact whatsoever with refs and mic everyone up. But then, I suppose, we'd be in danger of getting the correct decisions and who knows where City might finish if that happened?
