  1. It looked to me like he meant it. I've no complaints on the ban we will miss him though. If he gets another game added to his ban for an instagram post the club should fine him though thats just fucking stupid.
  2. Also if we got back the 6 point gap on Arsenal our goal difference is so bad we'd lose out on that.
  3. I don't see it happening for us now. Even if we beat Arsenal looking at their remaining fixtures they'll do enough to get top 4 its what they do. It just seems the way both chelsea and city are currently playing they could both draw against the mancs where we need them to be two defeats.
  4. id like to see sterling have a go up front with Sturridge. Having sterling playing as as wingback is a waste he's got goals in him as well as assists. He'd help make space for Sturridge by giving the defenders something else to deal with.
  5. yep. He was starved of any decent service on Sunday but the one chance he got he scored. He also should have had an assist with a lovely lay off for lallana. Hopefully it's not a serious injury he can rest up and be ready for arsenal.
  6. It's going to be a loss losing him as he's been excellent when playing in a back 3. Be interesting to see what Rodgers does with him out bring Lovern in or change to a back 4. How many games did Costa get for his stamp?
  7. That's what our form at the start of the season has done for us it wasn't that it was poor it was relegation style poor. It's meant we've had to be near perfect and couldn't aford any dropped points especially against teams above us. The run we have been on since mid December in the league has been excellent but it just seems like we've given ourselves to much to do.
  8. Unfortunately I can see us having a problem selling him in the summer as clubs will know we want to get rid of him and will offer us a very low fee or a loan option. The 16 Million we paid for him wasn't a risk worth taking its just another in a long line of transfers where we've pissed money away on garbage.
  9. hes nailed it as well. Chelsea went out to spoil the game get PSG players booked and sent off and keep a clean sheet.Brilliant from PSG to play the way they did and knock those plastic waving flag cunts out
  10. luckily for them the 3 teams at the bottom at the moment are worse than they are.
  11. Agreed. One of things that made last season so enjoyable was not just the fact that we were brilliant to watch and were in the title race right till the last week of the season, but the fact the Mancs were so bad and couldn't even mount a challenge for a top 4 spot. Watching MOTD was a joy we were on first most weeks ripping apart spurs or arsenal were Utd would be on then losing at home to someone like Newcastle for the first time since the early 1900's.
  12. Watched whiplash last night. Enjoyed it. Solid 8/10.
  13. i wish that was the case but he managed to get matic's ban reduced by a game. And wait and see the 50-50 and penalty appeals go Chelsea way over the next few weeks after his public goals on Sunday propagnada.
  14. He was shite last night along with most of the others that played. He's back from being out from 5 months and is getting his fitness levels back. He's also got one of the best goals to games stats of any player from our history. And if we have a chance against City to win the match and had a choice of who it falls to. I'm going with Sturridge all day long.
  15. What he's doing recently is working hard when he comes in the pitch and he's improved the last few games in a major way. Earlier in the season though regardless of playing with a strike partner or not he wasn't putting a shift in and theres no excuse for that. He was playing for himself shooting from every distance and angle possible when there was better options. His performance against Madrid at home was a disgrace he didn't even break a sweat. Now he's putting a shift in (which is the minimum I expect from any player) and I hope he keeps it up. He deserves to start on Sunday for me and I hope he scores and wins us the game. But I'm not having the reason he was poor for us at the start of the seaosn was to do with formations or strike partners it was down to a lack of him giving a bollox and trying.
  16. I still want him gone in the summer as i just feel he's not someone you can rely on to play well and put a shift in over a long period of time. In saying that he is playing much better now and chipping in with helping create and score goals. With Coutinho looking like he needs a break id start Mario and Sturridge up front against Southampton and Sterling just behind.
  17. the Mingolet comment was made off camera during the match the host then brought it up at the end telling everyone what he said.
  18. its bad enough that some of the muppets in the media have decided they don't rate Sakho and keep coming up with the usual criticisms even if they are not true. I find it even more amazing that some our own fans still don't rate him though, he's been immense in our recent run of form and has been involved in helping us keep a lot of clean sheets and also starting attacks with his fast paced passing. If he comes out of our team at the moment we'll struggle without him.
  19. I'd like to see Utd get arsenal in the quarter final.
  20. Balotelli arrived at the wrong house on the wrong day in the wrong city.
  21. Big game. They'll be very confident after the win at the weekend. I'd start Sturrdge ahead of Gerrard. Lucas will probably still be out so Allen instead of him & I'd start Ibe again.
  22. id say it's more his agent mate. Stringing it out for as long as possible to get the best deal for the player and a bigger percentage for himself.
  23. Ive no idea how I've missed this thread on here but I've been doubled up laughing since the first page. brilliant.
  24. Thank Christ we didn't have to go to extra time before the Derby. I've seen our midfield future tonight what a performance when Can moved into midfield a real driving force.
  25. Balotelli was garbage when he came on against Chelsea. He linked up well a couple of times but was at fault for the goal with a sloppy pass for Lucas. He had a good chance to hit the target from the centre of goal and blammed it into row Z. He got the ball in a good position out wide left and had 2 players to aim at in the box and he shot again into row Z from a fucking ridiculous angle. Also when we had the ball in a good position just outside Chelsea's box he stopped running and watched as Sterling as had no options in front of him. He also didn't put anywhere near enough running or pressing for coming on a sub. Every other player ran themselves into the ground that night. Your standards of what is acceptable from Balotelli seem to be what Hodgson did when he was here of lowering expectations. Sturridge came on a sub at the weekend and scored and linked up well. Thats the standard he should be judged at.
