Pleased Pepe has said that, about time some of the first team squad made comments about the owners rather than we just need more players. Also think it was telling he said: “We cannot avoid our responsibilities,” Reina said. “We are the ones who play, so there are no excuses about that. Of course it did not help all the issues with owners and the situations with the ups and downs with the money. But we are just players and we have to play." In all of the mess of the season just gone, I think some of the players need to look at their performances and really ask if they'd done their best or not. Pepe can hold his head high on that score.

Nice guys tend to not win much, unfortunately. One of the best players to come into the PL though, and will always be respected for that.

The Red Stadium and the Blue Stadium look the same size on that picture. Are we going to get that bad that we're also going to get 30k gates? On the plus side, both stadiums could be filled on derby days, with the first half being played in one ground and the second half............. well i didn't start it!

Torres hasn't had a football free summer for what will be 3 years at the start of next season. There's been the Euro's, Confederation Cup and, next, the World Cup, all when he's expected to play as a lone striker for us during the season. No wonder his injury record is getting worse. I think the Clubs inability to sign a quality second striker, and help take the weight off Torres, has been instrumental in us failing to win the League in either of the two season prior to this one. And him missing this season has contributed to our poor season along with all our other ills. He's 26 and has looked pissed off at times playing for us. I think he's possibly the best striker i've seen in a red shirt, I would be devastated if he went away, anywhere. I don't believe that the americans would use the money we might get for him in player buys for Benitez or any new manager and so I hope he stays, regardless of the cash on offer. If he left, it would be tanatmount to giving him away for interest payments. He should stay until at least the yanks go and not before or we'll lose his worth in goals and cash.

ferguson is on a win-win, we get a result = he gets a result. We don't get a result and he has a ready made excuse for only winning the Carling Cup this season. Everyone is assuming that united will beat Sunderland and Chelsea and united will win their final games of course.
