  1. Your making out that letting Owen go was a great move? Look how he managed a very similar situation involving Gareth Barry. Now Barry playing the best football of his career in a team that will be in the champions league next season.
  2. Cheers mate you just saved me 15 minutes to educate that idiot! O'Neil's a brilliant manager! FACT
  3. Exactly mate it's crazy when you break it down how much cash he's wasted. Some clubs have that amount in 10 years and we waste that kind of cash on that crap! Who's he got scouting for us fucking stevie wonder?
  4. Don't forget Babel fella she got slagged off too. Do you rate Lucas lad? Hand on heart do you think he's good enough to have the liverbird upon his chest? If you can say that kid deserves to start for liverpool football club, then I won't come on here again as it's obviously just used by people who just don't understand the game!
  5. I disagree mate. He needs to go because in the final third we are poor and lack creativity. Last night was embarasssing! As soon as Gerrard went off we were shite. There are several players who he persists with who aren't good enough and he doesn't see it. And finally becuase it will be our third throphyless season in a row!
  6. Sorry fella I have a life and not on this site 24hrs a day like some of you clowns! You post something original lately? Here's something NEW why do some fans turn on their own just because their opinions differ? :telloff:
  7. There's alot of players who simply aren't good enough in my opinion. 2.Andrea Dossena Got slightly better of late but still not good enough. Often gets caught the wrong side of his man and wasteful when crossing. Not good enough. 10.Andriy Voronin No comment 18.Dirk Kuyt As amazing work rate and doesn't give up but currently being utilised in the wrong fixtures. He's great away from home but when you need to get behind full backs and apply pressure like we have on many occasions this year he simply hasn't got it in his locker. I don't think he's good enough to start for liverpool home and away and should be just a squad player not a definite start. 19.Ryan Babel Poor first touch, confidence issues and asked to leave because he know's he's not good enough. 21.Lucas Leiva Works hard but that's it? Has no real attribute to his game that would make me want to have in my team, can't beat a man, can't provide a dissecting pass, never scores and is a liability if required to close an oppenent down round the box. Not good enough. 24.David Ngog His previous record in France speaks for it's self. Done nothing this season for me to think he has potential to become great? Not good enough 27.Philipp Degen I'm always dubious of free transfers and this proves my point why. Not good enough. 28.Damien Plessis Poor man's Sissoko 31.Nabil El Zhar Extremely fast but hasn't got a footballers brain. Crossing ability is questionable, will never be more than an fringe player. Not good enough!
  8. Love it or hate the decision does anyone know how the deal breaks down? Is it true we'd only paid £10Million originally? Or was it £20.3Million? Surely we haven't lost £8Million in the space of 6 months, Have we??
  9. I understand Rafa beef if the rumours are true and Robbie wasn't his signing but I think he could have cut his nose off to spite his face on this one. Talk about putting all your eggs in one basket! I hope this decision isn't the end of a already fading dream and the end of a manager I loved.
  10. Agreed mate. Give him time and I'll think he could contribute 10 goals a season easily.
  11. 1. We haven't won the league for 19 years - it's obvious that we're not going to do it over night and that it's going to be a massive undertaking. We're up against three much richer clubs, where two have had managers incumbent for a large number of years and have therefore been able to instill there influence throughout the club. 19 years! 19 LONG YEARS! 5 Under Rafa! He's spent alot of money in that time and that team is all his now. He's bought players for the future that haven't materialised and our overall progress is shakey 2. Who on earth would we replace him with? As much as i'd love Kenny to come back, my head tells me it would be a mistake and would he really want to??? Martin O'Neil I'd take tomorrow. He's taken Villa from being a team barely challenging for a UEFA cup spot to be a title contending side with not even half the money or time Rafa been given. Not one player at Villa wants to leave or has a problem with him. 3. The squad that we talk about being capable of winning the league is Rafa's - surely he should know how best to utilise it? If he does he has a funny way of showing it. His 2 of most expensive signing it's clear to see dislike the way they've been treated! As many football fan tells you the league table doesn't lie! If he had managed it to it's full potential we'd be top! 4. How many would have taken this position at the start of the season, and if we beat Chelsea (which we are quite capable of doing) the atmosphere on here will swiftly change. I think it's safe to say if someone had said we'd have draw nine games and 5 of them will be at home, then no one would have been satifisfied. If you told a fan that if you were chasing a game then he'd take off your 2 best players they'd be satisfied! If you said we'd missed as many opportunities we'd all be very disappointed 5. How long did it take Fergie, Shankly to win their first title? I hate this. Why do people always compare things to the past! Shanks did it with 14 players! Shanks brought us from a struggling side in a lower division to the top of the highest league. He wasn't 4th in the table with the best centre mid in the world and had 2 of the best defenders we've ever had? Shanks budget was no where in comparision what Rafa had. The league wasn't as hard in Shanks era. The dynamics of the game are totally different! Why make these comparisions when the only thing that is the same is the name of the game?? There's not a great deal of logic to the above but it's just general points that have been on my mind and I feel that alot of people are getting swept up in a wave of emotion and perhaps need to try and take a step back and rationalise the situation. There is no question that Rafa has made some mistakes and I think it's the apparent repetition of those mistakes that frustrate people the more - last night I was all for sacking him but today in the cold dawn light I'm not so sure. I personally think he's done a good job but if the priority is the league and if your still not there in 5 years you have to draw a line eventually at what is exceptable. Give him until the end of the season then evaluate the future. At this moment in time winning the CL or League would allow me to believe that he can take us forward Over the five years and the work he has put in and the overall positive input does he not deserve our support? I'm totally confused about which way to turn and like a few fully expect the coming games to perhaps shape my thoughts, but is that too knee jerk? Confusing!!! One thing for sure no matter what. I will not boo him, I will not call him names and I will be going every fucking game..... Why because I love this club more than anything and no one said it would always be a nice journey! YNWA
  12. You're right it is only two points and a game more played that are seperating us and the mancs and the mancs I unfortunately know through work still don't believe we're out of it!?! They said do you think Chelsea still don't think they can win it? I replied probably not, but I think we'll drop more points still and when you chasing you can't afford to drop any! Birds in work have come up to me and are you ok? You look really upset? I replied I am I've fallen out of love with a man a put all my trust into. She said are you on about fucking football. I replied No I on about my life!
  13. Get a life you fucking geeks!
  14. His attitude is shite but it's all down to the way he's been managed! He was a centre forward previously and has been made to play in a position consistently that doesn't suit him. Under Wenger he'd have made the grade!
  15. That said he had babel who we all believed had the potential to make it and bought Reira one of the best signing in the whole league this year. I don't think this is the right thread to start ripping the man's effort to shreads mate. It's one for the believers who have lost belief. There's loads of reasons you could come up with why the fact of the matter is they all end up with the same conclusion Liverpool aren't going to win the league.
  16. Anyone who make jokes tonight isn't a red in my opinion! Go fuck yourself!
  17. Totally agree Rafa done his best it's unfortunately just not good enough. He doesn't deserve to be called that! Although my heart's broken, we all need to take this like men and act with dignity to a man who brought home our beloved 5 European Cup back to Anfield. I feel sick now my belief in the man has gone!
  18. I feel your pain fella. My heart has been well and truly broken too. I've never felt like this before with a liverbird on my chest. Tactically he's just isn't right. We could probably make the CL semi finals and go far in most cup competitions every season but the league the one we all really want won't be back here while Rafa in charge. Where do we go from here I don't think anyone know's? The owners don't really care, we have a manager we've lost belief in, the chief executive is sly and not to be trusted. I think I'll cry on Sunday win lose or draw just because it's the first time this season where I feel like the score line is irrelevant. YNWA mate
  19. He's left the market open for ridiculous offers but won't let him go unless the offer is what he wants. In my opinion we should keep him until the end of the season as I still believe he'll get atleast 15 goals.
  20. Correct. I agree. It's a wonder of how these lads stay motivated when not given a proper chance!
  21. No its not it's fans that want to watch players with desire, which Lucas clearly hasn't got!! The reason people are bringing Spearing and Darby in to the equation because we know these lads will have that desire and know what it means to put on our shirt! If these lads were giving a season a half like Gerrard was and Carragher was as fringe players, we may have two more world class lads come through!
