  1. Great win for Joshua. Throws up the whole great heavyweights debate. Its difficult to argue against Tyson in his prime. Ive not seen anyone that even comes near him. The loss to Buster Douglas was in the midst of his personal life imploding and the (deserved)prison sentence denied us what would have been a super bout between Tyson and Holyfield- of course they eventually fought years later, but back then Holyfield, excusing the pun, was the real deal. Theres little point bemoaning Tysons own self destruction as the madness that surrounded him, for a time, is what made him the absolute menace he was. It could never last and its why we don't see fighters like him often as he was a bit unhinged. You can only fight what the division offers, sadly for Joshua, that isn't a lot. He'll fight Wilder and Fury and end up back with Klitchsko through lack of big money options. The fact that Fury is in the conversation illustrates how bad the division is really
  2. We'll soon see how much bottle our players have when United breeze past Swansea and the press have nothing else to focus on but our game as its the only game on Monday. Plus, he will have been waiting all season to do it, but once they go above us, which they will on Sunday, shitcoat will crank up the pressure and give it the large
  3. New contract for Lovren? Oh crap.
  4. Nice one Liverpool. Did we apply the same logic to signing Henderson? You know, the old "transfer fee, where we were at that time" way of thinking.
  5. Sturridge, Robbie Keane, Andy Carroll and Benteke to all do a joint newspaper exclusive labelling the Anfield canteen "shit"
  6. Im clutching at straws- I 99% know it wouldnt happen but was hoping there was some crazy Europa exclusive ruling. Which there isnt. Please fucking qualify lads- it will be a long long summer of what might have been
  7. Probably already been asked but cant be bothered trawling through. What happens if United finish 4th and win the Europa? I take it theres no knock on effect so 5th qualify?
  8. Bloody well raid Southampton. Been selling us dodgy goods for years
  9. 2-2 draw with Lallana fluffing his lines and failing to shoot about 8 times whilst he cruyff turns the shit out of the ball in the 6 yard box
  10. Hold your fire on another Matip. Get 30-40 games out of him first
  11. I like the idea of Benitez being back in the premiership, if only to get under the skin of a few of our rivals
  12. In some of his post match interviews he seems genuinely surprised at how some teams play against us. Its as though he is convinced we will win and hasnt studied their strenghths at all
  13. Wonder if Benteke and Sakho were invited
  14. I think the truth is somewhere in between. FSG should expect better give their outlay, Klopp has kept faith in some, and not signed others, that inevitably lead you to question the logic when you are facing Palace at home with kids on the bench and looking devoid of ideas. Think it was stringvest that made the point yesterday- how many players do we have in the squad do we have thatt when they miss a game you are gutted as you know they could have made a difference? Mane? That's it. Poor show really
  15. Agreed- so who's it on- Klopp or FSG? That list above must have cost around 150m
  16. Although I get the call for more depth and how the bench offered nothing at the weekend, but it could, and possibly should have included- Henderson Lallana Sturridge Mane Sakho Ings Markovic Some of those should start so the likes of Lucas, Origi etc get swapped out. The issue ,is how we've managed some of the above, injuries have played a part, but also how we've not been ruthless/realistic enough when it comes to the likes of Sakho and Sturridge and moved them on and replaced them with players that will actually play a part
  17. Whats worse than a footballer earning more in a week than you do in a year? A fucking footballer who earns more in a week than you do in a year that actually DOENST play football. Despite the best possible medical treatment in the world at his disposal F.O.C. Who will then proceed to leave Liverpool and actually get a ton more money as part of the move and score against us every time. Sturridge young sir, you are an utter cunt
  18. We have a habit of being made to look like a bunch of turds by ex players. We can all kid ourselves by pointing out had we had Henderson and Lallana they would have made a difference but we've all seen the same scenario pan out with them two playing- in fact they could be 2 of the biggest culprits- Henderson shooting into the stands form 30 yards at every opportunity and Lallana trying 5 yard passes when he has an open goal. The ONLY player we have that you genuinly feel could have won you games when he's not been there is Mane- thats a disgrace given the staggering money we have spent in the last 5 years. As for Lovren, sell him to Palace- then watch him keep us out with a barnstorming performance next season. As for Benteke, put him in a Liverpool shirt today and the score would be the same as he would spent the whole game meandering around the D of the penalty box getting bullied by the Palace defenders. Don't finish top4- big overhaul needed. DO finish top4- even bigger overhaul needed
  19. Reinforcements seems the wrong word- makes him sound like he'd come in to compete for his place as opposed to be the first name on the teamsheet
  20. If we get champions league and the need for a much stronger squad- one cheap(ish) bench warmer could be Siggurdson.
  21. Whoever we sign, would it be possible to check their eligibility, and indeed willingness, to represent their country in international tournaments? Only we could lose a player to a tournament he didn't even go to.
  22. I went to watch us play on my honeymoon in Barbados- place was packed with locals in dodgy knock off Liverpool shirts. When we scored the place went mental. Managing to watch a game on my honeymoon was a proud moment.....
  23. I could never find fault in any set of fans for hating United. City (and Chelsea) remind me of the heavyweight boxing division of the past decade. Plenty of champions but no great champions. Just imitations and wannabes. No matter how many wins they chalk up they just cant become part of the elite
