I remember the local shop in University having a dodgy batch once where there was a shit load of powdered flavour left in the bottom. Each bag lasted for about 2 hours worth of dabbing. Absolute scenes in a house full of pot heads.

Couple of personal ones there which remind me of the 90’s but aren’t necessarily exclusively 90’s. Quality thread.

I met my old boss for a pint on the night we won the World Cup and she was saying this pretty much word for word. It’s absolutely bizarre that they can’t see it, it was all Woodward’s fault. It’s fucking delicious. -

Nah the bacon was perfectly cool. That picture hasn’t done it justice. The marks are off the grill. I’ll take that about the eggs, they weren’t my best effort. I jibbed toast because it would have been too much stodge to get a good bevy down me in a bit. -

Self made, pre big sporting event meal. 3 sausages, bacon, hash browns, 2 white pudding, 2 eggs and mushies all boss. Fucked the tinned tommy up because I forgot they were there so had to nuke it in the microwave last minute. I need a lie down after it. -
Just started this, having finished the first in the new series in 2 days. Really enjoyed the first one and am intrigued to see how the story develops given the time lapses between the 2.

Me Ma’s effort today, everything cooked exactly as I like it. Minus a point for the lack of black pudding the lazy cow and half a point for one of the sausages breaking. 2 pieces of toast accompanied it. -

This game is more proof if it were ever needed that you give James Milner a new contract. Top fucking draw -

This shit in Europe of keeping your flag down for offsides is making us look far more shaky. If the dickhead was flagging for offsides we’d not be scrambling round our own box trying to block shots. That being said we are too open in midfield and have looked very disjointed -
He’s been really good, is undoubtedly a massive upgrade on Mignolet and since the mistake against Southampton has been generally really solid with his feet. However I think we forget sometimes how good Allison actually is. There was a couple of occasions yesterday in that last 10-15 minutes we’re the ball came back to him and he cleared his lines, despite there being a pass on to Trent at right back. It may not have even been noticeable on the telly but the ball got launched and came straight back at us. Alison would have picked the pass out and enabled us to keep possession and more control of the game. That’s not a criticism of Adrian, I’d rather him launch it if he feels as though him making the pass is too risky. It’s more a comment on how Allison’s quality has such a big impact on our ability to control games and play calmly from the back.

Said to my mate yesterday even if he is a similar level to mignolet at least he doesn’t have mignolet’s baggage with the fans which may help the defence settle slightly in his presence

Love swimming me. I’ve just got back from doing 100 lengths (I’m off today) and try and swim a couple of times a week. I did the 2 mile swim in Windermere a good few years back and it was boss. I’m going to up my distance and regularity in the pool over the next year or so. I’ve got vague notions of swimming the channel and have had a brief look into it but it costs a fair whack. I’m gonna try and just up my distance gradually and see where I’m at in a couple of years both physically and financially but I’d love to have a crack at it. Like a few have said I think the monotony of it is good for my brain.

Reckon Dave has hit the nail on the head. Gone are the days of us signing players for the sake of us beefing up the squad. If we don’t sign anyone it will because the manager doesn’t think they are a big enough improvement on what we currently have for the money we are being asked to stump up. Pretty simple really and a view that I’m fine with. It’s his job to make the big decisions and he has generally been proved to make the right ones more often than not
