  1. Just got in. How's his injury? Hope it's nothing trivial.
  2. Would obviously like a performance but the three points are what's vital here. The performances will come when key players get fit/settle and it'll be easier for the settling if the points have been pouring in.
  3. A fella I know at work is a post 92 football fan, despite being nearly 40. He always goes on about how grounds like the emirates and the reebok are such nice grounds, it makes me feel a little sick. Grounds like the vicente calderon look so fucking good. I'd always wanna support a team like that, its some sort of symbolism. Thank god the Parry bowl never came to fruition.
  4. Sums it up perfectly, their both born winners and fighters, Kenny does it with class though. Probably why he gets under Fergusons skin.
  5. That's good that, great tune and obviously fitting for Carroll. Works for a crowd to sing and with the emphasis on the scores before the last line like the tune goes it would sound great. Instead of 'oh the lad' it should just be 'wor lad' and Torres line needs changing probably, dont need to hear his name now, let alone for coming years.
  6. Foolish, great oppourtunity missed. Should have done all you could to get into her and eventually marry her. Maybe her family go round to Kenny's for dinner and stuff, you might have got an invite once. That would more than compensate for a 50 year sham marriage where you fake your love for her everyday in the hope that Kenny invites you round. Bet Kelly D has had a few lads trying this technique.
  7. Great post, sums it up nicely for me. When watching rugby union I'll usually want England to beat France and Italy, but when they play the home nations I tend to favour them. I think its cos I see it as a Southerner's team and I'd like the jocks/irish/welsh to do them over.
  8. South - 60% twats 40% sound North - 30% twats 70% sound Theirs twats everywhere, the South just seems to have more.
  9. Goosebumps listening to that. It's great to have a manager who gets the 'institution'. Ged and Rafa had it, but Kenny epitomises it.
  10. Totally agree with this. Its not a rivalry with Chelsea, I just despise their ethos.
  11. I think it's because of this: Our most historic games (in my match going life) Barca 2001, Dortmund, 2005 Juve, Chelsea, Istanbul. The next day we all buy every paper (excluding one) and pour over it. For me it's after amazing European nights where we've outnumbered support and the atmosphere has been inspiring (think that's why I've not included FA Cup games). That day I love the papers and the journalists with all their special comment pieces lauding our support. Well these days are few and far between (that above list is a lot for most teams in 10 years). But think how many shit day's their are, for anyone writing comment pieces it's so much easier to write pieces that criticise (particularly tabloid as they never write reports they write opinions, cos we're too thick to make our own). Writing praise is difficult and doesn't pull in as many readers; a positive article about an LFC player gets all Liverpool supporters reading, a negative one gets all Liverpool fans reading as well as those of all our rivals. If you support a big club your covered in the media a lot, and over a measure of a decade the vast majority will be negative unless your extremely successful. So this makes us feel a generally negative feeling towards us, just like fans of other big clubs will. Took age's that, need to stop smoking
  12. I agree with the sentiment of the position to excell. The cdm role next to Xabi and Gerrard playing in front of them was perfect for Mascherano, the role complimented him no end. I also thought a switch to Spanish footie, despite being Argie and the cultural benefits, was a bad choice. Barca play with around 70% ball possession, but Mascherano's game is all about getting the ball back. I think he's an English player, and while the premier league is far too soft now, it allows a player like Mascherano to still get stuck in. Because we're less technical the balls faster/bobblier in the middle, allowing for players to get stuck in. I reckon he'll be back in England (despite his whinging wife) and I don't look forward to playing against him.
  13. The above is dreadful, I don't post often, but needed to say how bad that is.
  14. Their is a possibility that Torres told the club early, or even before Jan. I think the lads got more quality. The club have subsequently asked him to hold off on it until they get a replacement in, thus keeping the price down on Suarez, because we weren't left in a position of looking desperate with a load of cash.

    Dalglish

The King back in charge is a must, after G&hs and that sordid affair, followed by the shit served up from an inept manager who has simply been over promoted; Kenny as manager would allow us to fall back in love with football and I think that would be infectious around the club. My favourite banner on the kop is the relatively small one that says, 'Make Us Dream'.
  16. I don't think he was tainted by G+H's. However, after Benitez was removed in the summer, the club was incapable of attracting a world class manager that the club deserves. What sort of world class manager would have worked for the previous regime? That's why Roy's here, he's an average manager, he took the gamble to prove himself and all he's proved is that he is indeed a very run of the mill manager, nothing special. It's now time for NESV to do the right thing and relieve him of his duties. He took his gamble and lost.
  17. (I meant to quote someone earlier who put about been at Hillsborough and Heysel and asked if anyone who voted yes was at either disaster) I'm 25 and wasn't at either. My dad was at both and many of his match going mates were at one or both. While not doing a poll on them I know the vast majority are in favour of standing. I think this is the case for most of our fanbase, this is evident from the last few years. I think I'm right in saying that since our all seated stadium, persistent standing (i.e. a full match) was very rare, if ever, until 2001. We had those exciting European nights back and the Kop rose again. This started as a something that only happened for massive matches. Since then it's creeped in more and more, where now we go to a high profile, but still normal, league match and the kop is standing throughout (eg Arsenal at the start of the season). I hope to see standing back again, I hate going to Anfield some games now, I goto football to support LFC, for a drink with my mates and for the atmosphere, the PL has proven, particurlarly up against the Bundesliga, that all seater stadia does not provide atmosphere.
  18. This bollocks of contacting the owners via the internet over every little whim is a mass fucking embaressment and needs stopping. We did an internet campaign because we had something that needed a campaign. If every time the club shop runs out of XXL replica pyjama's for these sad cunts they contact the owners and forward it to the press it not only makes us all look like whiney no marks, it also lessens the impact of any other action we may need to take in years to come. The second point of that is hopefully irrelevant, the first is simple, stop been sad cunts and dragging the rest of us down with you.
  19. Kevin davies without a doubt. I hate him so much. I love nothing more than a player that gets stuck in (dare I say Duncan Ferguson). But I fucking hate davies with a passion, if he only just get stuck in and remained honest I'd respect his game, but the truth is he's a horrible diving cunt who goes down so softly for cheap freekicks, while all the time screaming about every decision against him. Truly dispeciable.
  20. Need a new protest now. How about 'stop pricks starting threads'. Not very catchy, but precise.
