I don't think he has been that bad this season. Nowhere near last season's steadiness but not desperate either. The one thing he does that sends me ballistic is where he tries to go through a forward to get the ball for no good reason & gives free kicks away in awful positions. Don't think Agger has been special this season but he seems a bit fireproof. Talk of £10m - Samba was £12.5m wasn't he ?

In a funny way it was probably a bad thing that he was so brilliant on his debut, as he has not really been judged as a raw newcomer thereafter. Will be excellent for us if he can sort out the injuries.

Pity it wasn't James Perch

Having now got over the initial blast of discontentment caused by throwing 2 more points away, I can start to see a potentially excellent future under Rodgers for probably the first time. Thought we were far better than at Arsenal, and with a couple of astute additions to the squad in summer next season could be the start of something big.

Can't help thinking he would have fit the bill a bit more than Yesil, Morgan & Sinclair when we needed a forward with a little bit more presence early in the season.

Well, if Phil Hughes can.

Was relatively pleased with England but , as Manny said, they were nowhere near clinical enough. Need to go up a couple of gears to have a chance against Ireland. Would be interested to see a Twelvetrees / Tuilagi combo in the centre.

Definitely something to that LF, the McCaw syndrome I suppose, but some times it is absolutely blatant & gets ignored, whereas Wales only need to sneeze near the breakdown & get pinged. I often wondered whether some refs were a bit wary of McConnell & O'Driscoll.

Ireland have looked really good today & quite ruthless when chances have occurred. Is it just me though who thinks they get away with a lot more than any other northern hemisphere team with their 'professionalism' around the rucks & breakdown.

Some fair points KO, but I don't think Arsenal away is too similar to the great majority of our games & the early goal also tempered our aggression.

Gerrard Henderson Downing -
Home / Away or two legs ?

They have finally charged him, but ruined the effect by doing the ridiculous 'explain yourself ' routine first, clearly exposing the fact that they were trying to let him wriggle out of the biggest slam-dunk of a disrepute charge in history.

They are also supposedly looking at a Korean lad in Japan - KIm Win Sook (sp) who is 6ft 5ins. If Fellaini doesn't go & they get Fer & him, they will be the only team in the Prem that Stoke have to change their tactics for. ( On a side-matter does anybody hate the lazy way that the English press think the world revolves around us. The story about the guy in Japan says he is called ' The Korean Peter Crouch' & I'll bet a pound to a pinch of shite that he isn't & that less than 5% of Japanese footy fans even register the existence of Crouchy ) Sorry -rant over.

I thought Robinson was pretty awful, but he produced one fantastic run that Borini somehow managed to cock up seconds into the second half. Been a little bit of stick for Henderson, but I thought he played well & if the rest of the team had been as desperate to win as Gerrard, Suarez & him, we probably would have. (Downing made a difference too )

As long as we pass on the older lad, Pol.

Still has some shortcomings to work on, but he has moved forward massively over the past year & in his last 4 major major tournaments he has won the US & the Olympics and been runner-up in the other two.

I was very surprised to see a midfield starting line up for a physical cup tie that was without any of Gerrard, Lucas or Shelvey. Having said that with a slightly different run of the ball & a couple of different refereeing calls it could have been a comfortable win. Thought Henderson & Gerrard were very good.

Most normal people would be devastated to be on a rape charge, the smirk he came out of court with spoke volumes for me.

The only thing that redeems him slightly in my eyes, is that he seems to reserve a massive dislike for Arsenal that can only be matched by RIS on here.
-
I am going to be controversial here & see how he does for us before making a judgement on him.

Interested to see BBC Sport saying he was dominant in the air, which isn't really an aspect we see with the way our younger teams play. David Raven was also playing for Inverness.
