  1. Jamie Redknapp, according to TalkShite
  2. Carroll has had some things to say, possibly to the wrong people too, judging by the back page pictured on the BBC gossip page.
  3. My Mrs never used to steam clean her fanny
  4. Seen black socks over trainers done a few times.
  5. Car insurance firms who send you a renewal notice for 50% more than what you are already paying and twice as much as what they would insure your car for if you were a new customer. Then ask you not to use language like "pissed off" when you call them to tell them you're pissed off.
  6. I overheard a meeting the other day where the leader said : "how are you in yourselves, going forwards?"

  8. Just got back Friday- we went to a Brooklyn Nets game as the Knicks were over here while we wee there. Tickets are cheaper and they're a better team this season if that makes a difference to you. My Mrs is pregnant so we did a Big Bus Tour which picks up from outside M & Ms world in Times Square. It's hop on, hop off (we didn't get off a lot as she got tired easy), but that's a pretty good way of getting about we found. You can do a package which includes uptown, downtown,Brookyn and nighttime tours for your money. Did the ferry. 9/11 memorial tour was good but the exhibits in there are large so I'd allow a while if you go there. There's a lot to see in there. That tour bus showed us a lot of places we didn't know about that we'd like to see if/when we go again, but we only had 5 days there.
  9. The stats don't lie, but from memory in the Everton, Arsenal and Chelsea games there was only 2 shots on target against us that didn't go in. All of those and the Bolton games were games we deserved to win handily but didn't. The performances haven't been terrible, just haven't got the results sometimes. It's all very 2011/12.
  10. Citeh must have known the gods were against them that massively deflected Lampard shot didn't go in. That,or he's losing his touch.
  11. That Bamford always seems to score for Boro whenever I catch them. Looks a right cocky fucker though, must be an extra class at the Chelsea academy.
  12. As if we haven't shat the bed enough this season...
  13. Always seemed to up his game when racially abused in European aways or away England qualifiers though. Shame he couldn't exhibit that mental strength when going through a dry spell for us. As his career went on he was very much someone who seemed to score his goals in batches then have massive dry spells-very much a confidence player. He also was definitely lacking in either a poachers instinct or movement or both, because he used to go weeks without even getting a chance sometimes. That said, I bear him no ill-will and have some good memories of him. He did score some great goals for us and carried the goalscoring load mid-season during the treble season. Unfortunately for him Fowler and Owen's end of season goals will be better remembered by many I think.
  14. Bentley ended up toss, but I agree he was good at Blackburn and I would have preferred him to Pennant at the time. The correct answer is Tom Cleverley. Nothing player, and when he plays a high pass or a cross he kicks the ball strangely. "Strange gait" as a bitter old cunt once said.
  15. Mignolet Can,Skrtel,Sakho Manquillo,Allen,Rossiter,Enrique Lallana,Mario,Borini. If we lack creativity I'd hook Manquillo, put Borini wide and bring on Coutinho. Lovren probably needs rehabilition and this is a good opportunity, but I think it's more important to keep the back 3 and keeper's eye in.
  16. Trying to get a coathanger out of a carrier bag full of coathangers.
  17. I did 3 weeks agency work in the filling rooms at Proctor & Gamble just before Christmas 2005- basically this entailed doing very small loads of products for market research purposes by hand because it wasn't worth starting the machines. They'd just done a load of toothpaste tubes for some research, but then that got cancelled so they decided they wanted all the stuff back in drums as that was easier to store. I sat there for a day squeezing toothpaste from tubes, on my own, in a white room. While I was there they also had to prep something like 10,000 bars of Dove soap for market research. The Dove bars had to be totally indistinguishable from an unbranded one they were doing the research against. This meant taking them out of their box, shaving the Dove embossing off the bar-but not so much that it showed-then tearing a tiny bit of bubble wrap and putting the bar in an unbranded box. When I finished with the toothpaste I was put on this task until they realised I couldn't shave soap to the desired level and I just tore bubble wrap until my contract ended.
