  1. I'd say while both of those are undoubtedly true, it seems fairly clear he's being manipulated and exploited by some absolutely terrible people on the far right, who it turns out are, shockingly, deeply antisemitic.
  2. I watched a couple of Dortmund's games last season and was blown away by the lad. Seems about as close to a dead cert as you can get.
  3. Russia, according to my man in the chat. It's the Chuvash State Opera and Ballet Theater
  4. Nice bit of brutalism popped up in one of my whatsapp groups the other day.
  5. His appearance at Crypto Bahamas was my personal favourite.
  6. This interview with Sam Bankman-Fried is absolutely mind-blowing. https://www.ft.com/content/eac0e56c-f30b-4591-b603-f971e60dc58b
  7. I'd like to take a go at the first one, if I may. Is it because they'd prefer it if they weren't being drugged and imprisoned?
  8. 9/10. Surprised at the number of international caps. Always thought he'd been crowded out by the Barca lads.
  9. Did it genuinely not occur to this guy what would happen if he made blue ticks something that could be just bought?
  10. Memoria - one of the strangest films I've ever seen. Tilda Swinton begins hearing a strange sound, that seemingly nobody else can, and enlists a sound engineer to help her discover what it is. And then all manner of inexplicable things start happening. If I had to pigeon-hole it I'd say it's closest to mystery or sci-fi, but it really doesn't fit neatly in either. It can feel slow, and it's low on action, but there's a lot going on thematically, and there are some genuinely astonishing scenes down the line. If you're just after some light entertainment you'll probably be disappointed, but if you want something challenging and distinct to pretty much everything else out there it's well worth your time. 9/10.
  11. Another team lost to wokeness. So sad. RIP the socceroos.
  12. At least we still have Paul Silva.
  13. It has, hasn't it? Or at least according to Crawford. Apparently he's fighting Avanesyan instead.
  14. The thing is that may well be true on a personal level, but who gives a shit when her day job is pushing through terrible legislation that fucks over most of the people in the country.
  15. According to Emily Maitlis Sunak struck the right tone in his speech today. Very important to do that, and a big signifier of what's coming next imo. Like when Theresa May struck the right tone with her speech about tackling burning injustices. Remember all the things that changed for the better after that? Man, we sure are lucky to have such awesome political commentators sharing their unique and prescient insights.
  16. Glad we're not getting Spence Crawford any time soon.
  17. Hoping it's just the same thing that's affecting the other lads, and it's only temporary. Be a bit mad if he's done at 29.
  18. The good news just keeps on coming this season, doesn't it.
  19. His finishing and decision making have definitely been a little erratic, but he's shown some positive things, too. He's quick and strong, can beat people, and appears to have a football brain despite some of the questionable bits of play. If he'd been pure shite then fair enough, I'd probably be slagging the lad, too, but that's not the case imo.
  20. Yeah I guess when I said anyone I meant people who are at least a little bit switched on to this stuff. Normies haven't got a hope in hell of understanding it, and that's largely the fault of the media, as you say. Folks should be able to catch half an hour of broadcast news every day and have a pretty decent idea of what's happening, but do that here and if anything you'll end up even more misinformed.
  21. I genuinely don't know how anyone looks at the state this country is in and concludes the system's basically fine, it just needs better managers and a few tweaks here and there. 40 years we've been trying this shit, and the results are in - it's fucking awful.
  22. I dunno, Tulip Siddiq was blathering on about turbo-charging the City, too. Maybe they all do just genuinely believe in staking everything on a highly financialised economy. Again. Seems fucking mental to me, given the last 15 years, but they're the smart and sensible people so I'm sure it's all going to be fine.
