  1. I've taken 9/2 for a West Ham win, with what you said above and the Zola/Clarke factor.
  2. They have played Spurs twice this season both draws, alright they won the last one on penalties. And both times Spurs out played them,a draw for me. Boro away,in between a CL Semi final.A weakened team up against a team fighting for its life. And also a team that has abit of hoodo over the mancs.Another draw. Then a derby against City when they could be on a low after getting knocked out of the CL.Wouldn't it be ironic a team with one of the worst away records going to old toilet and getting a win. Then three days later they face Wigan and then a 12.45 on the Saturday against the gooners. They'll be going to Hull hanging on for second place.
  3. Axel Witsel from Standard Liege and the out of contract,Theo Walcott. Two twenty year olds and our wing position sorted for years.
  4. The lad from Standard Liege,Witsel has pace and can play left or right wing.Only 19 played well against us and scored against the bitters.
  5. Great news, thought Barca would have gone for Benzema.Madrid signed Huntelaar and the mancs paid 30m for Berbatov. So this leaves the door open to get best young striker in Europe. We could offer Ngog, thats probally why Rafa signed him in the first place.Love it when a plan comes together.
  6. Schweinsteiger would be well suited for the premiership opposed to Ribery, imo. But for all the boxes Schweinsteiger ticks i think Maxi Rodriguez ticks more. And Robben can fuck off, cheating bald twat, excuse my french.Runs like a girl.Would sooner take a chance on the young lad from Standard Liege,Axel Witsel.Loads of pace can play on the left or right and up front, the Belgian Babbel.
  7. What happening to Valencia could be us in the summer with twit and twat in charge.
  8. IAN RUSH: Rafa Benitez had perfect response to silence Liverpool's critics THE vultures were circling the second Liverpool’s team-sheet was announced on Saturday night. But Rafa had the perfect response with a massively important three points. Like almost everybody else in the country, I was surprised when I saw so many influential names left on the substitutes’ bench. I would be lying if I said otherwise. But unlike perhaps plenty of pundits, I also had some sympathy with Rafa’s team selection, because I’ve been in exactly the same position as Fernando Torres. I wasn’t sure about leaving Dirk Kuyt on the bench, because he looks like he could play about five matches every week and still not suffer. But resting Torres was totally understandable. He’s still feeling his way back from injury, he was clearly shattered on Wednesday night and the trip to Portsmouth came less than 72 hours later. By introducing him when he did, Rafa ensured that Torres would be operating on a level playing field with the Portsmouth defenders. Kenny Dalglish did exactly the same thing with me in the 1989 FA Cup final. I’d been injured and had only made half a dozen substitute appearances before the cup final. I thought I could start at Wembley. I told Kenny I was fit. I was desperate to kick-off against Everton, but he decided my energy levels weren’t up to what was required and left me on the bench. In the end Kenny did the right thing. If I’d started the match I probably wouldn’t have been able to do anything. But when I came on my energy levels were at the same levels as the Everton defenders and I was able to make an impact. It was the same with Torres at Portsmouth. If he’d played from the start, when the Portsmouth defenders were fresh, he’d have been tired when the game started to open up in the last third and probably unable to take advantage of the opportunity which came his way. As it was, he was sharp enough to find the opening and finish it in style just when it mattered the most. It was good management, because the end result says so. Just like Kenny got it right back in 1989.
  9. I don't think we will ever get the chance to find out. But i would sooner have them than Lucas and Degan.
  10. As good as Xabi has been this season,Barry has been a big part of Villa's improvement also. Instead of Benitez been wrong maybe if we had owners with abit of ambition and money. We would have signed Barry and kept Alonso.Im sure Rafa would have preferred that.Rather than if you want Barry you'll have to sell Xabi because he is the player more likely to to recoup most of the fee back.
  11. I'd like that Sturridge lad from City.Would do for now as back up and for the future.
  12. Should sign them both, one on the left,Lahm and Alves on the right. With Insua and Darby as back up.
  13. It'll be Lyon as Coop left them out.
  14. What is it with work permits with us,when the mancs get them every time.
  15. Ellison did loook good when he came on,did he come up from the U16's?
  16. Whats happened to Puttrill? Another composed display by Darby and at left back as well.Have never seen him have bad game.
  17. On the basis that Alonso has to go for Barry to arrive; simply, next season, who would you prefer here? Which player would you want at the club for the coming season? Barry, because of the balance he'll give on our left side. And i don't see Barry coming in to replace Alonso.I believe Mascherano has already done that, imo.
