Farewell Djimi. I respect that he tried hard for us but I think he was not good enough. He did play some good games but played badly on many an occasion. We can talk about his last ditch tackles in the Champs Lge final. Fair enough he stepped up his game immensely in the 2nd half but in the 1st half he was targetted by AC Milan and they ran riot whenever they attacked that wing. 1st goal came from his foul after he was out of position. Same happened in the 1-4 vs Chelsea.
To say Rob Jones was worse?! Dunno. Speechless.
My point was exactly Stu and Waffle were on about. I am not laughing at any death, just highlighting the disproportionate aggression by the Israeli government. I'd rather it was a 0-0 with smiles all around and I never rejoice at the death of innocent civilians. If it was misinterpreted as being something else I apologise seeing that not everyone got what I was on about.
Deffo a red. also deserving of a 4 game ban if you ask me. The mistake the ref did was allow Simao and especially Ronaldo to stop their run up in the penalty shoot-out. Those 2 penalties should have been retaken.
Italian media is saying that he is out of danger and that it was an attempted suicide. Unconfirmed rumours claim that he found out that he was ill and jumped. He WAS clutching rosary beads in his hand. Poor lad. A decent player and a very nice guy in the Juventus set up.
He is a Liverpool fan. I've met him on a few occasions and he is a Red. Having said that I am not going to defend or try to explain all these shenanigans he has been up to post 2001.
Yes it is indeed atrocious that a man who won the Champs Cup, League Title and League Cup in 1 season and reached the Champs Cup final the following year, placing 2nd in the league is behind Evans and Houllier. I would also say that Rafa being ahead of Kenny and Fagan at this stage is also a bit premature.
