    Every chance that is the case, but up until he was well into secondary school he seemed like a normal (bad word I know) well adjusted happy kid. He's fallen off a cliff the last few years, and it breaks me.

    The lad didn't start properly showing signs until he was in his teens to be honest Cath. Thing is our experience with him helped us when getting our youngest diagnosed, we noticed the signs quicker.

    No Cath, neither of us have. I'll be honest if there's a chance of me or the missus being autistic too, it's most likely to be me.

    Cheers, he was diagnosed when he was 16, and hadn't really shown signs until his teens. By the time we realised what the signs were, he'd fucked school off and now seems to have fucked life off. It gets me down because I wasted my teens and twenties being a miserable arse until I met the missus. I don't want to see him miss out in the same way. I think I'll take your advice about giving him space, maybe one day he'll be mature enough and ready enough to make changes and accept help if it's offered.

    Can I ask about your autism mate? My lad and my youngest daughter have both been diagnosed in the last 2 years. My girl isn't too bad, but my lad has no life. He's 19 and I feel like he's never gonna live. What kind of help have you had with your autism? The lad won't engage with anything, meds, therapy etc. He just says nothing will help him and its not worth trying. I'm just looking for any hope.

    Now you see, I know this is probably a joke, but this is why I'm getting away from football. It matters too fucking much, and it really shouldn't.     Pre-Rushie era (just). Superb players and just about the first proper team I remember, could have put Jimmy Case in there really, maybe Sammy Lee too, obviously the bionic carrot as sub. Not the same game anymore. Edit: Thinking on, it would have been Thommo alongside Jocky at number 4, Lawro joined and Jimmy Case left. Either way, superb team.

    Interesting, if not a little surprising. Thought we may have gone with Puma, plus ca change. Adidas are really stinging over losing the DFB deal, and Nike do seem to be cutting back. Wouldn't be overly surprised if this turned out to be bollocks as Nike were supposed to be losing Barca, but now they're talking about a new 10 year deal with them.
