I unfortunately agree with Numero. The physical medium of the disc (be it dvd, HD-DVD or blu-ray) is increasingly irrelevent as we become increasing digital. I have not used my dvd player in a year. I have a WD HD TV box and external hard drives housing my movie and TV collections. The only thing that concerns me is whether it is a normal resolution AVI etc or a full 1080p (usually an mkv). And yes I download films for free
