Went a few weeks ago and it was again pretty cool. We went on a tour of the Vatican museum and Sistine chapel - you had to pay something like 50 euros but you avoid the queues and if you are at all interested in art it's a must. The Sistine chapel blew me away. also saw the Pope on the way out and i snapped a quick 'Achtdung spitfire' and he dived to the floor muttering something about ze war being over for tommies. The last bit is a lie but not about seeing the Pope. Also went to the catacombs which are frankly bizzarre - millions of 4/5/6 th centuries tombs
