  1. I was going to say that's unbelievable but actually it's to be expected from him.
  2. I believe Rafa's time is up and really hope he goes at the end of the season but the biggest problem we face is still those cancers. Rafa is still a top class manager, it ultimately hasn't worked out with us but he'll move onto someone like Juventus in the summer and challenge for major honours we'll still be stuck with those pair of cunts heading in the opposite direction.
  3. No what I'm saying is there are about 3 other players who could replace our starting winger on either side if we did sell Riera and Babel and replaced him with Turan.
  4. Selling Riera and Babel would still leave us with decent options on either flank RW - Kuyt, Maxi, Yossi and Turan has played there as well LW - Turan, Jovanovich, Yossi and Maxi. I think the cover is there for all the wide positions but someone with a bit more quality would really help us.
  5. Dissapointing to hear that has been the reaction in the main but it's very hard to eduacate people who have such strong views while they're ignorant on the subject and show no desire to learn what actually happened.
  6. Well done to all involved. Is he still fronting a podcast now, I know he tried to start something else up again and there was talks of it being a subscription based model?
  7. He really reminds me of Sami, brillant in the air with excellent positional sense. He's quick but not lightning fast. I'd imagine if he does arrive it'd be the end of Skrtel or Agger as I can't see Carra or Nick the Greek leaving.
  8. Everton FC online store - buy Everton football kits, fashion, training, homeware, souvenirs & gifts from the only official Everton FC online shop Probably sums them up that I never thought it as a piss take!!!!
  9. Pacheco is there, he was in some of the photos of the squad meeting some Romanin kids.
  10. It probably reflects more on the character of the players who they have been able to attract up to now where money is more important than medals. Mancini has an impressive record as a manager but the city players seem to think they know better about how to prepare a winning team, moaning about extra training etc.
  11. More likely a case of the club leaking some misleading information to take the heat out of the SoS/Purslow situation.
  12. It's pretty inflamatory some of the stuff Purslow has said. There'll be serious repurcussions for him as I can't see Gillet and Hicks taking kindly to what he has said. It seems we're approaching Armaggedon. I can't see Purslow being so naive if his main concern is protecting his own position. Hopefully it's a tactic where RBS want this out in the open in order to force through a sale where if he doesn't get sacked because of this it'll be because RBS won't allow it.
  13. ------------Reina---------- Carra Kyrgiakos Skrtel Kelly/Agger Maxi Mascherano Gerrard Riera -----Ngog-------Kuyt----------- Hopefully One of Kelly or Agger are fit to start.
  14. I think he has a €12m release fee, something that i think the Palermo chairman confirmed but it only applies in the summer ( sorry can't find the link). Also if we were going for him, chance are one of our existing centre halves would be moved on, probably Skrtel so he should be affordable.
  15. Skrtel might be big and strong but he doesn't really utilise these attributes. I'm not talking about hacking down a player from behind but using these attributes to out muscle the opposition, also Skrtel is average in the air for me. I'd love to Kjaer from Palermo as I think he'd complement both Carra and Agger.
  16. The 3 priority positions for me are: 1. Backup for Torres -Hopefully Chamak 2. Big strong, aggressive centre half whose dominant in the air - I like the look of Kjaer or Amorobietta. 3. Left back - I'd like to see Kelly getting a run out there, that's where he played for Huddersfield on loan and he looks comfortable on either foot.
  17. What do people want him to say in a press conference? This team is playing shit and needs to have a look at themselves. I'm sure given how long our bad run has been there has been there have been times when he has told them that and other times when he has tried to build up their confidence. But the idea that he should be slaughtering his team in public so that the media can have a field day is hardly to way to get us out of this mess.
  18. I think Agger has been our best defender this season even though he has not been near his best. The two main areas we need to improve in the summer are a big tall commanding centre half like Kjaer to play alongside Agger and a new left back.
  19. You're probably right Spy Bee, given the difference in the size of squads these days it represents a youngsters best chance of getting a decent run in the team. It has happened with Insua in a way although it hasn't worked for him. If he was good enough he has gotten ample opportunities to nail down a place long term.
  20. Is Riera back yet, can't see Maxi being involved from the start tomorrow given the the amount of games we have coming up and he can't really of trained much with the team. I'd be great to see someone like Pachecho getting his chance and taking it.
  21. There's no way Mourinho would walk out on Inter at this stage of the season, barring Hiddink or Dalglish who I don't think would work in the long run who do we get?
  22. I've always firmly being in the "Rafa is the best man for the job" camp and I firmly believe he's in the top bracket of managers that are capable of winning the top leagues in Europe like Spain, Italy and the Premiership but I don't think it's going to be with us unfortunately. Everything seems to have gone pear shaped, before I would of being confident that he could get a reaction out of the players but it's just not happening. When momentum stops at a club generally it is very difficult to get it going again. Personally I think the main reason for this is lack of investment over the past 18mths to 2 years, poor luck with injuries this season and Rafa's inability to motivate the players after 5 years. The bile that's spouted towards the manager at every oppurtunity is a bit odius, he's not the c&*t he's made out to be on here by some posters. It's not as if he's happy with the state we're in as I'm sure he has genuine affection for the club and is working harder than anyone else to get us out of this mess. Unfortunately it doesn't like like he's going to be able to though. We either need a big signing to put a bit of belief back into the club or a change of manager to get the current squad going again. I hope it's the latter but not sure outside of Hiddink who'd be available right now.
  23. £250m, didn't Arsenals one of £100m include shirt sponsorship? Seems way off, especially seen as we look as likely to be in the Europs league as the champions league over the next few years.
  24. I'd be happy enough with Onouha, good defender, good in the air and exceptionally quick. I think he was a sprinter when he was younger. The only negative would be it'd push Kelly further away from the first team. Can't see city letting him join on loan though, it's not as if they need the money.
  25. Did he not say something about not wanting to join Pompey because of their israeli contigent, best to leave alone
