As I already said he can play either side of the "attacking midfield" 3 that we play, like Kuyt does on the right as a deep lying forward. He proved this at Wigan showing, pace, power and intelligence on the ball from especially the wide left when he ran the channels. At the same time he has the strength to hold the ball up for others and showed a real team ethic to do so and on top of that score goals.
Take his attitude OFF the pitch out of the equation and he is perfect for us being able to cover Kuyt, Torres, Gerrard (in a 4-4-2) when needed and whomever we play on the left.
