    Its actually a sloth which has had its hair washed off/shaved off. You can tell by the claws and the face. Google a picture of a sloth and it becomes obvious. Still freaky like.

    Fair point. I guess theres a lot more dead rubber games in which to notch up goals in the Champions League games aswell wheras with the old knockout format every match meant something. Gerrards record is brilliant from a midfield position, although I feel if Torres stays at the club long enough he could get close.

    Yeah I agree with this. As soon as he makes a pass that actually finds a team mate, people are using it as an example of how much he's improving. How far have the standards slipped? He is not shit, he just isnt good enough. Seems like a very difficult concept for his supporters to grasp.

    It sounds like your making excuses for his limited footballing abilities because you feel sorry for him the personal abuse he sometimes gets. I agree we should show support to our players during the game, as negativity directed towards a player inside the ground is counter productive. However, after the match I think its fair to point out his shortcomings (of which there are many) without being criticised for not displaying 'The Liverpool Way'. By your criteria we would not be allowed to have any critical analysis of a player who tried his best. Like I said before, I dont have a problem with the guys attitude but my heart sinks when I see him in the side because I know hes going to offer nothing during the game.

    Are you defending Lucas for a bet or something? As far as I can see there is no need for a new thread on the matter - its blatantly obvious to everyone hes not good enough. No one is having a go at him personally for it, he just isnt good enough.

    Fair enough, I agree the lad himself cant help not being good enough. He probably is a premier league player just not for us. I actually do feel sorry for him as hes cursed before hes kicked a ball. He then proceeds to confirm everyones fears. Sure as eggs as eggs, Rafa will pick him again next game.

    You are completely missing the point. As has been previously stated, you can cut great/good players some slack as you know more times than not they will pull something out of the bag. Lucas is NEVER going to be able to do that. He doesnt serve any purpose in the way the team plays and isnt an individual who can create moments out of nothing. So when he makes errors your just left feeling 'what is the point of lucas?'.
