What I meant, by that line, was that he seems to be around when things are going our way and disapear when its not. I know that's not fair saying that, but maybe I just can't express myself corretly.
"Captain Fantastic" have to imply that you're at the end of the stick be it good or bad.
He showed commitment and character when he scored and after. He started praising and motivating players after his goal, but I'd like to see him "more involved" when we're suffering. And again that might also be unfair since I only had the broadcast to go by.
Gerrard is a player for big occasions, but I somehow got the feeling that he's also more committed during the good times?
Guess we can't really blame that. It's human, but we've just come to expect so much from him.
Reading the press today, making Gerrard the hero, is just a bit to much I think. If we had lost the game no mention of him would have been made and the blame would have been placed on he usual suspects yet again.
