Hargreaves would be a great signing.He's young,talented and hungry.He's a top class player in a top German team and at that price would be a coup.If we get Reina,as it appears we have,thats one weak area covered.Then get someone like Milito and i really think that is our defense sorted.Then maybe one or two more big signings and we're away. That lad Kompany is going to be a great player and would be a great signing.id say he'd probably cost about 5 million though as all the big clubs want him.

Two years ago,i took my grandson up for his first Pool game.He's only four.I live in London so because of that,i thought i'll make damn sure he doesn't get tempted to the dark side and support another team.After the game,we waited round.A number of players came out.We met Jim Beglin,Ian St John and Ray Houghton.We then met a number of the then current team including Vladi.Vladi not content with giving my grandson his autograph,proceded to go back into Anfield and get some of the rest of the team.Great man. Best of luck Vladi.You made a young boy very very happy. You'll always be in our hearts!

I've always had a big soft spot for the Canaries.They were traditionally a really nice football team.Norwich itself is a really nice town and the people friendly.Really wanted them to stay up.

My mate was telling me that his five year old son told him not to say "cant" or "dont" because his teacher told him that they were negatives!!!!!! Absolutely wonderful performance. Scott Carson was outstanding in goal.At 19 hes got alot to learn but hes got so much potential.All he needs is a few games under his belt and he'll be one of the best keepers in the league in no time.Sammi played his best game in a Liverpool shirt for some time.Carra was well Carra.Le Tellec was outstanding and showed what potential he has.Luis is just such an entertaining player.At 6 million hes an absolute snip. MOM goes to Stevie Finnan,who is absolute class.Him and Carra have such a good understanding with each other.His defending is top notch but going forward he's a revelation.After Carra and Riise,theres probably no player in the team that epitimizes the old Liverpool spirit of never giving up and running through brick walls for team mates. After the game i was just thinking about next season.Ciise,Moro and Alonso back plus a few quality signings and boy will we have a team......

Dont think anyone has mentioned him but i thought Beglin was absolute quality and would've gone onto be a Liverpool great only for fucking Stevens.

True but he also won two european cups with a medium sized club.Fergie has won one european cup with one of the biggest clubs in the world. Clough was a shit but a genius.

We might not have the spending power right now of Chelski but who is to say that in the future some billionaire or someone with alot of money wont buy the club,in which case we could break many a transfer record. I can see your point but most of the Liverpool greats,past and present cost little or came through the system.

If Gerrard goes to Chelsea,then we could pick up Gallas and Cudicini in the deal.Perhaps another player as well as more money.

Upson is a decent premiership player nothing more.Maybe a good squad player.What we really need is an outstanding goalie and central defender.

Totally agree.When we got him,he was considered one of the best young midfielders in Europe.He has alot of talent and I believe that he is going to be a major player for us in the future.Finnan and Riise are playing excellent this season and this is due mainly to confidence,which comes mainly from a good manager.Watching Igor at the moment,his head is up and he is playing really well.Presuming Gerrard leaves,a Biscan/Alonso partnership looks quite promising.

Totally agree.I think a quality centre back to partner Carra and a quality goalie are our main priorities this summer.Riise and Finnan are good enough for a championship team and Traore is improving all the time.Warnock,Whitbread and Raven are potentially very good.

Well said Rashid.Keegan was one of the greats.Off the field he comes across as a really decent man.Remember all the birds wanted to be with him and me failing miserably in growing a perm. :D Him running Berti Vogts ragged was one on the great Liverpool moments.

Totally agree about not travelling to Turin to watch us play.Any Juve fan i've ever talked to gets fairly agitated when i tell them that i support Liverpool,so if normal decent Italians get like that,what will their loopers be like. If we do get them though it would be brilliant if the Kop did a few mosaics in honour of Juve.It'd be a great idea and if it made a difference even to one Juve fan it would be worth it.

On and off the pitch the nightmare draw would be Juventus.There a cracking side with a legend of a manager.Plus if we get them the media will bring Heysel into it all. I'd like to get Porto or PSV.

First,Duff is a world class player. Second,he's an outstanding professional who takes his game seriously. From what i heard,Duff didn't really support any team as a kid.His dad was a mad Man U fan but if Duffer was such a big fan,why would he choose YNWA to be played before an Ireland game with Thommo in the stands. Anyway,half of the United team probably supported Liverpool(O'Shea,Solskjaer,Rio etc) and didn't Red Rum and Keano both support Spurs as kids. Rashid the VAST majority of football players have no loyalty to ANY football club whatsoever,be they Liverpool,Man U,or Chelsea. The likes of Callaghan,Tommy Smith,Giles,Bremner and McKlintock are few and far between.
