  1. here is one for you. what was the first game we ever lost that ian rush scored in? no cheating on wikipedia. i remember this from an old liverpool vhs i have.
  2. not as funny as michael stensgaard. MICHAEL STENSGAARD: The Danish goalkeeper was forced to retire after suffering an injury to his shoulder while he attempted to fold down an ironing board. he was a ressie keeper for us wasn't he? i seem to remember it at the time.
  3. where you managed to get them from pre-release?
  4. i noticed that, tried to edit it but said needed to contact administrator cause was 10 mins after original post. However, doesn't detract from my point.
  5. Whilst we had keane (whether he played or not)- P24, W14, D7, L1, Scored 39 Avg. 1.625 goals a game After we sold him P12, W9, D1, L1 Scoerd 33 Avg. 2.75 goals a game. Your argument doesn't stack up. I agree at the time i thought it was stupid to sell him and not bring in a replacement. However the facts show we actually performed better regardless.

    Rafa

you can't lay the blame at carra's door, but i think he has had a poor season. (at least by his standards)

    Couldn't agree more, repped.

I hear you, no question about that. Yes Rafa inherited a shit squad and he has brought us on immensely, almost to the brink of the first title in 19 years. However, how much longer to we sacrifice being trophy less, just to make great strides only to narrowly miss out on the league. We don't just want to be involved in the title race, we have to win it. Rafa will never be forgotten for winning the CL in his first year in charge, but at the end of his tenure he will have to be judged on league titles.

I doubt it, unless I don't understand your sarcasm? I don't really care what the 'experts' have to say. However, I doubt very much they will be predicting us to win the league. They never do. When it comes to reviewing the season, you know rafa is going to get slated for the infamous rant and they will make out that was a key turning point. I know this is old news, but I don't believe the rant had any bearing on our form. It was just a coincidence and sadly for rafa made him look a twat. As for next season I am optimistic, but I have been for the last 20 years. For me it is definitely make or break for rafa, we have made progress this year despite being left with nothing in the cabinet. But if we fail to win anything next year, mainly the league, then I'd have to say maybe time to go our separate ways.
  10. got 40, just ran through a-z in my head. missed sunderland and barnsley.
  11. i can't decide whether i would be pleased if we signed him or not. £25-£30m? Not so sure at that price. Wouldn't leave us with much more cash, but no doubt that won't put Rafa off, as he will sign another 6-7 youngsters on frees and put them straight in to Gary Abletts reserve team squad.
  12. fucking fat head and slur alex, they will be drinking wine before and after the game no doubt, celebarting the fact that wigan will roll over and ensure there is no chance of us winning the title.
  13. don't think it bad luck or bad management. we have had one hell of a season. In the summer everyone of us would have taken 2nd and still have a realistic chance of winning the title in may (even though after the city game on sunday, that is now probably not the case). I know this may sound mad, but maybe the title was a step too far this year. Our squad isn't that great, Babel, El Zhar, Lucas would stuggle to get into West Brom's side. Bar our main 11, Insua and Benayoun, not one player has taken their chance in the side and made a real impact. We need a right back as cover fror Arbeloa, Carragher hasn't got the legs to play their, Skrtel got bummed at Boro. Lucas makes us light in midfield, whenever masch or xabi are left out. Kuyt can't play as a supporting striker. We have done awsome this season, a few minor touches hear and there and we should be ok next year. My only fear is that we will end up fighting for 3rd/4th as Chelsea and Arsenal are only going to get stronger.
  14. certainly didn't look like he'd been hit. King was probably being a twat, but from my experince of bouncers he probably goaded him in to it.
  15. more plausible than houllier's 'eating the grass' take on god's infamous celebration. :D
  16. i used to hate fat jeff, now i love him
  17. surprised phil brown hasn't got involved. aren't they bezzie mates? having said that he would look a bigger cunt than sam if we dick them tomorrow.
  18. you mean 'sock robbers'? i had no idea what was going on but read about it the next day. gotta admit was pretty funny.
  19. tevez? no fucking chance. also quite possibly the ugliest man alive! he makes kuyt look like brad pitt!
  20. leave it be rafa lad. don't give the smug cunt more ammunition to have a pop at us
  21. is he not just another luis garcia? bags of potential, scores great goals, inconsistent, could do better.
  22. i'd still have him over the likes of kewell and gonzalez
  23. gotta agree with this. the stats probably don't back this up. but it seems everytime a man beats him, he has to take a booking these days.
