  1. Rough figures on a few things: Britain (GBP) Direct taxation revenue 120 billion Welfare state spending 125+ billion Following figures in USD (while it's worth something, anyway) World GDP Estimated 55 - 60 trillion Of that, US GDP 11 trillion, UK 1 trillion US budget deficit 8.2 trillion Worlds largest industry turnover 1 trillion * Derivative exposure (where at the end of the day, they can't figure out who owes who what) 500 FUCKING TRILLION !!!!! The whole world economy is of to hell in a handbasket. Buy gold. * In case you haven't figured it out, it's illegal drugs.
  2. I've been to the US a few times, done business there and have loads of good memories. The current government, whilst incompetent in it's own right, (as all governments are, as they live off stolen money), is dragging the US into it's collapse as the worlds #1 nation as the dollar is on the point of collapse, which basically fucks the world financial system This is quite a long article, but worth a read. The're spending the greenback while it's worth something. http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article12381.htm
  3. The Chavs. Utterly deplorable that they are, it's very much 'here today, gone tomorrow' as far as the're concerned. The Mancs, unfortunately, are like a fucking wart. When you think it's gone, it creeps back. I hate them with a passion that is only surpassed by my feelings for the blueshite. One of my happiest memories was the day Denis Law back heeled them into the second division. Once scum, always scum. Corruprt scum as well.
  4. When I did it, we came top, the mancs second and the chavs disappeared altogether. Wonder if there's a secret message behind that ?
  5. In theory Brenda can overule the government. However, as the bandits in parliament are about to sign the whole shooting match over to Brussels she's pretty irrelevant and becomes just another extension of our glorious welfare state.
  6. Oh, and the 1986 Cup Final, amazing day. Not sure if we were including the Wembley games.
  7. 1982 5-0 at the shitheap, Rushie getting four.
  8. If you think that's bad. http://www.prleap.com/pr/25655/
  9. Never been so scared as I was that night. Bricks, bottles, the fucking lot. Then the cheery locals on their scooters waiving knives about. We got back to the hotel and managed to persuade the owner to sell us some coke to go with the duty free vodka and whisky. Didn't dare go back out. Loved it that they had all the celebrations ready though, served the bastards right. My faith in Italians was restored slightly the following morning though. The waiter in the bar was a Lazio fan, and he was absolutely over the moon. Seems the rest of Italy wanted Roma to lose. Oh, and it was funny getting a uniformed cop pissed a few hours before the game.
  10. Ask him if he was bullied at school. Works every time. He'll probably end up topping himself.

  14. Very satisying, but I'm not gonna laugh until we're safely through tomorrow.
  15. Interesting. '3072x2304 wallpapers of Madrid from private collection free' has turned up on an American business forum I use which has nothing to do with footie at all.
  16. Airplane. Seen it loads of times but always pick up something new. Piss meself every time.
  17. Mourinho will be on to her first thing tomorrow morning. Hopefully.
  18. On BBC Ceefax's newspaper review, one of the rags (forget which) is saying the chavs are in for him and the player's acknowledged that.
  19. Swimming's excellent exercise. Trouble is, if you're getting fat all the kids down the pool will laugh at you when you come out of the changing rooms with your cossie on.
  20. It's short for Tessa Cohen, the founder Jack Cohen's daughter.
  21. What is this thread, celebrity chef or something ?
  22. Perhaps they did neglect their duty by not arresting you. Surely though they did neglect their duty by failing to arrest Inland Revenue officials for extracting the money by force in the first place. No one VOLUNTARILY pays taxes, do they ? By definition, ANY government lives on stolen money.
