ALT then? He and Pongo were top rated teens.
-
Thinks he's another John Welsh and lacks that something to make the step up.
-
True, and it's an asset (esp counter-attacking wise) that we're desperately short of. But he's used up his nine lives. Trouble is that recent managers have been centre-mid fetishists and the chance of us buying a decent genuine flank player are slim.

There were plans by Hammer to make a make an ITC-style tv series based around Richleau fighting baddies but it never came to fruition. Wheatley probably knocked it on the head.

The Farm, 4th December 2010 - Discounted Tickets

That n Groovy Train on repeat. -
With Moyles R1 has gone back to the smashy and nicey era of an old guy out of touch with current music. I squirm that every Friday he has to play some boyband tune he loves. Sadly the alternatives aren't much better.

Kenny Dalglish : Is He An Albatross Around Roy's Neck?
cochcaer replied to Anubis's topic in FF - Football Forum
No. If Kenny walked out of Anfield tomorrow it wouldn't change the response to Roy one iota. His tactics, approach and philosophy wouldn't change. People would just find a new stick to (often deservedly) beat Roy with.- 114 replies

It reminds me of Steve Coogan being interviewed by Wahlberg and Ferrell in The Other Guys... KF are probably sitting in the Odeon thinking "Oh hell, Tom's done it again!"

After last time I refuse to be taken in by slick non-committal PR. You call it cynical, I call it once bitten.

Expectations for 2010/11. What were they ?
cochcaer replied to Chinandeler Bong's topic in FF - Football Forum
Fuck me, there's some delusional nutters expecting top 4. Must be BNP voters expecting some English manager transformational salvation. -
Or hire Carlos the Jackal.

She can't sing worse than that torturous Crowded House cover.

Just got the game and started out at the bottom in the Blue Square league. Is it me or are wingers essential? In FM2010 I played mostly through the centre but in '11 any crosses into the box spell danger. The amount of professional fouls seems high too.

I don't think he's the right man long-term, but he's the opportunity to make me eat my words and recent results are a good foundation to build on.

I can see Werner's viewpoint, he's new to English football and has a new project he'd like to maximise the commercial side. Maybe when he's been immersed here longer he'll understand the traditions attached to the game. As long as he doesn't float the idea of groundshare I'll cut him some slack.

So if he attends a Catholic church he's condoning kiddy-fiddling... (your screwy rationale)

I find few more sanctimonious and 'right on' than non-wearer Jon Snow and his 'poppy fascism'. To me it's still a symbol of The Great War and the Blackadder moment still packs quite a punch.

Seem to recall Parry tried to introduce a policy of no big money buys for anyone over 27 during the Roy/Ged but it didn't last long. Wise really as the likes of Konchesky and Poulsen will probably leave on a free.

Even more Twitter rumours - Fernando Llorente
cochcaer replied to Wor Horse's topic in FF - Football Forum
Predictable rumour, only surprised it took this long. Roy will probably bid for Zamora or Bent. -
Haven't the houses behind the Centenary been redeveloped? What about Anfield Rd? The proposal seems to ignore planning regs on height/light to neighbours and take it for granted we can build on all the surrounding footprint. I'd also love to know the costing. And it's looks a bit like Old Trafford....

Rumours = Hits = Money. The Koptalk business model.

So we just accept mediocrity for a few years so some can balance it with their 'Liverpool Way' conscience? Roy was appointed at a time of strife and I refuse to beleive there was an exhaustive search. Imho it was a sham and they wanted a nodding donkey manager that would shut up and do as he was told. Like others I feel bad wanting him to go but the club comes first. Rafa did some good work and I'd rather a progressive manager continue than one who wants to take us back to some archaic style of footy. If that's our ambition then it shames our history.
