  1. According to some reports in Denmark ( havent got a clue how trustworthy they are ) Pacheco along with Agger, Babel and Jovanovic are players that Roy are eager to offload in January. Apparantly he has been briefing some journalist off the record, as he dont want to be quoted directly about wanting Agger out. We are even considering loaning Agger out, just to get him off the wage bill.
  2. I seem to remember Keane getting a three match ban for the tackle, and one additional match as it was his second red of the season. Maybe he was punished more later when admitting it was a revenge tackle?, I cant remember.
  3. Havent followed this argument, but just for the fun of it.
  4. The other players have failed despite playing time and time again. Before the Stoke match Babel had played 27 minutes of Premier league football. I agree he should be sold in january, as Roy clearly dont want him, but for the time beeing we need to use what we have, and I would rather play Babel than Jovanovic. Our squad is so one paced, and for all Babels flaws, he at least offers pace, and direct running and scares opposition defenders ( as well as his team mates, some might say ). If we pick a team of players that we deem good enough, or deserve to be there on merit, we will only play with 4 or 5 players.
  5. Torres picked up a knock against Stoke, so it depends on how he responds after playing 45 min yesterday. The major doubts/already ruled out are... Torres Gerrard Johnson Cole Agger Skrtel Wilson Kuyt. If all are out It will be interesting to see how we line up, I guess Roy would pick something like.. Reina Kelly Carra Kyrgiakos Konchesky Spearing Poulsen Schelvey Jovanovic Meireles N`Gog If that is the team, we will be in big trouble. Hopefully Torres and/or Kuyt will be available.
  6. 1.Skrtel. Thought he was decent back there. At least he stood out in an ocean of shit. 2.Meireles. Roy goes out and spent £12m on a player he havent got a clue how to use, and plays him out of position, despite everyone on this planet seeing it`s not working. He gets the vote for at least trying. 3.Reina. For having to watch that shit in front of him. Poor soul.
  7. I know... As I said in my previous post, you are probably right, and I knew the rant was knee-jerk. I am just so incredibly frustrated and angry. You often get proven wrong regarding players, etc, I just hate the fact that every doubt I had about Roy has been proven right, plus the fact he is much worse than I ever thought he could be. Im so disillusioned. After getting rid of the cancer of the club, I was hoping for a new lease of life, only experiencing this black cloud still hanging over us. I just want something to be positive about. The 3 days after the Chelsea match felt so good, and I have been missing it.
  8. I see your point, and you are probably right. I am just afraid that the owners are so keen to show to be "good" owners that they dont want to be seen like rushing any decision, even if its painfully clear this is not working out. I dont want us to become Newcastle, but at the same time, the time is running out on keeping hold of the few decent players we have.
  9. Im sorry for the new thread, but maybe it`s time for another e-mail campaign? The new owners really need to get the feel of the fans. Maybe 7000 emails wanting Roy out is what is needed? He certainly cant be allowed to keep on digging our grave. All feel good factor after Chelsea is dead and buried within a week. Roy simply needs to go before he does more damage to an already damaged club. He is so out of his depth it`s painful to experience. One day of sunshine against Chelsea doesnt hide the fact we are so clueless as a team it`s frigtening. Absolutely no attacking plan, no courage, no spine. If he really wants to play the way he set up the team, and choose tactics, then we should get rid of Gerrard, Cole, Torres, Meireles, Rodrigues or whoever has a tiny bit of skill, cos they`re not needed. We need to get in Carlton Cole, Bobby Zamora and players of that stature. I would`nt blame any player wanting out in January or in the summer. Players like Torres, Reina, Gerrard are too good to waste 3 seasons. After seeing the team slowly teared apart after the G&H madness, they cant afford another season of sadness under Roy. If he isn`t replaced soon, we will lose them. He is a dinosaur manager, a Royonosaurus Rex and has simply been a disaster appointment. He can blame the players all he wants, but he is the man behind the results. They most certainly plays under instruction, as we have played utterly rubbish like this in 95% of our matches since he came. His man management skills are beyond a joke. His handling of the press is even worse. And dont get me started on Konchesky. Has there ever been a worse £5m signing?? He is up there along with £2m Stewart, and £10m Diouf on the poor signing table. How many times does he needs to prove he is our worst left back since.... Well, at least in my time supporting LFC. Even playing Nick Tanner, present day would be an improvement. Insua got loads of shit last season, but he is head and shoulder above Konchesky. At least he offered something going forward. Konchesky is equally useless both ways. He makes Josemi and Dossena look like Zambrotta and Maldini at their peak. Again, sorry for the new thread and the rant, I just needed to get this off my chest. Let the negging commence.
  10. Roy isnt in a position to critizise anyone. He is trying to do in a year what G&H needed 3 years to do. He is an absolute disaster, and watching his slightly retarded face on the touchline absolutely clueless on how to change the team setup is painful. He has one tactical option, and that is to throw Kyrgiakos forward. Embarrassing. I just feel sorry for him, like you would feel sorry for anyone thrown into the deep end in a position they are so far away from managing.
  11. I just wish Roy Hogdson could keep his mouth shut for at least a couple of hours. I wonder if he tried to go one day without speaking the amount of bollocks that he does, would that make his head explode? Everytime he open his mouth he just makes me want him gone even more. Roy, you are a much bigger problem at Liverpool FC that Glen Johnson ever will be, or even Christian Poulsen for that matter.
  12. Well... You are wrong. Seriously though, I see what you mean. But I dont agree. Maxi is a much better footballer than Jovanovic, his ability to keep possession, his link up with other attacking players are superiour to that of Jovanovic, as proved over the last 3 matches. He just dont deserved to be dropped. Our attacking play is more fluid with Maxi there. Konchesky may be the best natural leftback at the club with Aurelio constantly out, but he is still a liability. I agree that he put in a decent performance against Chelsea, but even then he made som dubious decisions. Take a look at his defending just before Drogba crossed for the big Malouda chance as an example. Kelly may not be a natural left back, but he is a better defender, and like Carra he can play across the back 4. He is the future, I would rather let him gain experience and continue to develop, especially when he is just as good as Konchesky. Im pretty sure Roy will choose experience and go for Konchesky, and it`s nothing to get knickers in a twist over either way, but I would prefer kelly.
  13. Swap Jovanovic with Maxi and i`d agree. And if Johnson is fit, I would play him right and Kelly left instead of Konchesky as well.
  14. Pearl Jams guitarist Mike McCready grew up a big Kiss fan thinking they sang... I wanna Rock N Roll all night and part of every day!
  15. This is extremely difficult as 8 or 9 players could easily make the top 3, and the other 2-3 players also played very well. 1. Torres obviously, as he won us the match with 2 superb goals. 2. Lucas. He has really matured and plays with a lot more authority. If he can keep this form, we have a player. But he needs to be consistent on thi level. 3. Reina. I just love him. He is awesome, and the save from malouda was match winning. Had Chelsea got a goal at that time, when they were all over us, we may have given in. That save was as important as a goal. Also Kelly was fabulous. He really rubbished Roys comment before Blackburn, that it would be unfair to play Kelly, as we needed the experience. Roy, if you are good enough, you are old enough. I have been critical of Kuyt many times, and i still feel there are matches were he is not needed. But I must admit he is a machine. Coming back from 2 stints out injuried, and to put in a shift like that in his first match is incredible. And the pass to Torres opening was just sublime. Brilliant Dirk! Carra and Skrtel were both immensein the back 4, and handled Drogba well. This was the best i`ve seen from Carra in ages. Worked very well together. A couple of sloppy clearances from both when we were under pressure was all I could point my finger at, and Carras block after the ball hit the bar, just in front of Drogba was pure Carra. At the end I want to comment a bit on Chelsea. What has happened with Drogba?? I have never seen him so little cuntish as today. Even before he came on he smiled an tapped Sammy Lee on the shoulder. He smiled and exchanged handshakes all through the 2nd half, and did`nt throw himself around in the usual manner. Chelsea, apart from Malouda who was cunting around as normal, behaved much better than I can ever remember seeing before, even though they lost. Maybe it`s Ancelotti rubbing off them? But still, with Terry there, it`s still a lot to dislike. A final word on Roy. If he keeps on like this, he may save his Liverpol career, but it`s vital we go to Wigan and Stoke and claim at least claim 4 points. Today I thought he did well. The one point I disagreed with was that he waited too long to make a change 2nd half. We were totally overrun at the start , and I thought he should have made the change, dropping Kuyt to the right, playing Meireles more centrally much earlier. And as soon as he did it, we got much more control, and Chelsea did`nt threat us much. But no one can argue about 4 wins in a row. Well done!
  16. Kurt

    Lucas

I have always thought Lucas got a lot of unjust critisism. That beeing said, he is still a player that can be improved upon. But he is a very valuable player to have in the squad, and I what I especially like about his current form, is that he plays with a lot more authority about him. There were several times today where he just want in, said fuck off, and just took the ball. He has improved and matured a lot as a player, and deserves a lot of praise for doing so. A very good performance for the third times in a row, and he must keep it up, cos that`s what is asked by and expected anyone playing for Liverpool.
  17. These figures will not always be accurate. Take Carson as an example. In addition to the fee West Bromwich paid for him, we also recieved a loan fee of £2(or 2,5)m from Aston Villa and £1m I think from Charlton. So the profit was even bigger.
  18. Think I read somewhere that Lukaku had agreed to join Arsenal? Maybe it was only a rumour, but im certain I read that somewhere.
  19. Gerrard Spearing Johnson Gerrard was in a class on his own, while Spearing did well. We sometimes forget it`s not easy for those players on the fringes to come in a play well, once a month. They will usually lack match fitness. But Spearing played like a regulare, and deserves credit for that. Johnson did not play very well, and looked rusty, but in the end he won us the match when he won the penalty. I would also like to put in a good word for Shelvey. He is still just 18 years old, and the occasion got to him a few times. But the boy has got an engine, and at times I thought he popped up everywhere, and he never hid when he struggled and he kept going until the final whistle. He learned alot tonight, and he will improve a lot over the coming years.
  20. Joined Dagenham & Redbrigde on a 2 month youth loan. He is also made eligable to play in the FA Cup for them. Good move. More youngsters needs to go out get experience, and promote Silva, Sterling etc to the reserves.
