  1. It is valid when you consider my whole point whereas you have referred to half of it. Police across most of the rest of the world are brutal, dictatorial and systemically corrupt. That doesn't make our police perfect because they never will be. It's just not possible. It does, however, show just how much bloody worse it could be. The system of policing we have in this country is as accountable as it could be while still remaining reasonably effective. The system of criminal justice is what is so shit - not the police.
  2. Of course the Old Bill love making life hard for themselves by closing roads for no reason, meaning they have to direct thousands of people along another route. I'm sure they find it great fun. Or alternatively the bloke looked much worse at the scene making the Old Bill have reason to think he may croak it or be a vegetable. Meaning it had to become a crime scene to prevent thousands of people trampling over and destroying vital evidence. Just what the fuck is it that people want from the police in this country? Go and experience the South American police, or the Chinese police, or the police in Africa. When you come back battered and scarred tell us how much better the Old Bill are abroad.
  3. Steven Hawking. No-one would think of him. Where do I collect my £5 ?
  4. I agree with this. There's no way Hodgson should be allowed to manage Sunday's game, especially if it is to he his last game in charge. I don't trust him not to do his bezzy mate a favour. I have to say I am hugely unimpressed by the owners. Most supporters have seen with their own eyes how shit we have performed under Hodgson. His away record in English football should - if Hodgson had any shame about him - be a source of great embarrassment to him yet he has continued his record breaking shiteness at our club. We have lurched from disastrous result to disastrous result under him yet the owners have done nothing to remove the biggest cause of the problem. Fiddling while the place has burnt. If Hodgson takes us down a league I will despise him but will blame the owners. Hodgson is poor at this level so his results are to he expected. The owners however have done fuck all to try and rescue the situation despite numerous reminders that something had to be done. The honeymoon period for the new owners has ended prematurely. Now, pull your fingers out of your fucking arses and do what FUCKING OBVIOUSLY needs doing.
  5. 'Too good to go down' is a nonsense phrase hat has entered football. If you're good enough you don't go down. If you're crappy enough you do go down. We are crappy enough to go down, make no bones about it.
  6. Keeping Hodgson in post is nothing short of wilful negligence. If they don't get rid of him by tomorrow then I will have to really fight the urge to think of them as a new bunch of cunts who replaced the old ones. I'm now starting to feel that the spirit I felt for my club has been stolen from me.
  7. Why has he not been sacked yet? What are the owners waiting for? It makes no sense to me at all. Presumably they bought the club for us to win things. Surely - surely - they can plainly see that with Hodgson we are more likely to be relegated than win anything. Why keep him on only to cause more damage? It makes no bloody sense at all. None.
  8. WTF? How did he engineer that??
  9. Do I detect a touch of hypocrisy? He's a cunt for saying the owners are dithering yet you're not a cunt for wanting your own team to lose? Cheer when Bolton score, will you?
  10. Targeted? In what way? With a rifle or inane emails/Twitter message? Christ, we've got some deluded nutters following us.
  11. SWP is decent. Maybe not a world beater but he'd be a good addition.
  12. I'm afraid I'm lost in apathy and will likely remain so until the club grows balls on and off the pitch. I'm pissed off that a succession of individuals have brought me to this.
  13. It's hardly fair to have a go at Konchesky for things his mother says. Bit poor form most if this reaction. And what the fuck is it with Facebook anyway? Why are some people obsessed with it? People who see each other all day at work rushing home to tell each other what they did when they got home. It doesn't make any sense. I get frequent emails saying I have had friend requests from people who barely share two words with me at work. Wtf? And before any smartarses point out that I must have an account, I only got one because about 5 years ago someone told me that a bird at work had racey pictures of herself on there. I joined on the spot on my mobile. The pictures weren't all that really.
  14. Thanks to the death of my phone battery I only saw as far as the first callers' question and I cringed with embarrassment with it. He took about 60 seconds to say what should have taken 10 and accused the owners of being dishonest, which clearly pissed them off.
  15. Until someone mentioned Kenny Huang I was convinced it was Sulu. I'm still convinced it's Sulu.
  16. To me there's a real, massive, fundamental difference between torturing to death that child and torturing him to death. The difference is the child didn't deserve it. He does. I would be happy in the knowledge that an expert made him suffer for hours and slowly die in agony. The human race would be better off for it. Because he deserves it.
  17. I'm struggling with the reference. Help a brother out.
  18. I have no idea how successful he was as a businessman. As much as I have wanted to kick his arse I do feel sorry for him. He will go to his grave knowing how ridiculed he is and knowing that everyone who knows what he did thinks him to be nothing more than a fool with money. Ultimately I think he is a weak man with no courage, common sense or foresight. I think Ted said it very well.
  19. Can I just say this is the most damning, depressing, numbing verdict on a man's life that I've ever read. In just a few short words. I actually feel a bit down after having read it.
