I wish.
Also remember a nighttime home game in 99-00 (I think against Bradford or West Ham). The ball was hoofed (and I mean hoofed) into his face. He went down for a second, but whereas us mere mortals would stay down for a while holding our face, he leapt up, shook his head to get rid of the cobwebs and sprinted off. What a guy...
He was often ridiculed for only managing goals against Hull, but as Dave points out, he made a very important contribution that season. Fowler was out for virtually the whole season and Owen was another long-term absentee. So Camara and Meijer were the main strikeforce for alot of games- including the win at Highbury and draw at Man Utd. Also remember he had a good game in the memorable 3-1 home win v Leeds (Murphy & Berger piledrivers). He also got the crowd going when he came off the bench, and I remember him inspiring a late winner at home to Newcastle late that season.
Although we missed out on the CL place that season due to a terrible finish, I still have fond memories of it. Gerrard and Thompson were becoming regulars in the side, Camara scored some brilliant goals, Berger was on fire, H & H made us the meanest defence in the country. And Mad Erik provided the entertainment!
