  1. If you are protected as a minor, it means society thinks there is a reason for it, as in, your brain not being fully formed etc. Although it is often just a cultural thing.
  2. Elections are every four or five years in most countries and denying people the right to vote would hurt society's cohesion. You can exclude the unemployed next, also, why should poor people have the same say as people who pay much more taxes. Test people how impressionable they truly are and give them the right to vote accordingly. Low IQ and and uneducated people should have half a vote, PhDs two votes each etc.
  3. Maybe, but it may be tricky for cities with over a million people. Also, I guess it's a cultural thing, but it was easier to bring some flowers and light a candle at my mother's grave, instead of checking out if vultures have finished eating her innards. Father though, I would have been quite happy to go Zoroastrian.
  4. Traditional Zoroastrian burial rites are becoming increasingly impossible to perform because of the precipitous decline of vultures in India, Iran and Pakistan. For outsiders, it's not always easy to sympathize. Bodies are placed on top of the towers, where they decompose, while vultures and other scavengers eat the flesh on the bones. After being bleached by the sun and wind for up to a year, the bones are collected in an ossuary pit at the centre of the tower. https://www.theguardian.com/world/article/2024/may/04/vulture-shortage-threatens-zoroastrian-burial-rites-india-iran-pakistan
  5. Surely he'll be like a new signing that will save us millions?
  6. Strange they don't have them for important mayoral elections like London. Yes, I was going to say that in a democracy it is hard to pull off election fraud, despite what people believe.
  7. Kind of makes election fraud in metropolitan and general elections hard to get away with.
  8. Are exit polls not reliable in the UK?
  9. I guess. Plus, ballot boxes come pre-stuffed.
  10. Why does it always take so long to get election results in the UK?
  11. But that would be just horrible. Like having an ID card. Horror of horrors.
  12. Yeah, fuck them all off. Buy players that are always fit. We are so stupid.
  13. My old apricot tree is now dying but I don't think I have tasted better fresh fruit in my life. My peaches - not so much.
  14. Nothing beats a good watermelon. Well, maybe grapes. And apricots.
  15. There used to be an alley in the Old Town close to the Stradun (famous paved main street), a tourist trap with about a dozen small restaurants they used to openly call the Robbers Alley or something to that effect, where in high season they would just test what they can get away with.
