  1. If Omicron is a milder version I'm so glad I didn't catch one of the earlier variants because this one is kicking the shit out of me. A cough that won't stop once it starts, a stuffed up nose which thankfully Otrivine is helping with because I imagine thats what being waterboarded feels like, sore throat, aches and pains particularly behind the shoulder blades, cold sweats and an absolute bitch of a headache. The NHS have contacted me three times so far and I'm waiting for another call when I'll find out exactly what the treatment will be and in what form. The fella I spoke to yesterday seems to think it'll be an intravenous infusion and not tablets because of some of the meds I'm already on. You watch it clash with the unmentionable this afternoon. My lad's just told us his youngest who'll be 3 next month and has Downs has started displaying symptoms as well, poor little mite. As RedSand says, thank fuck for the vaccine and boosters. I'm triple jabbed and I shudder to think how bad it could be if I wasn't.
  2. After managing to avoid it for so long it's finally got me the bastard. I've notified the NHS because I'm classed as extremely clinically vulnerable and they're contacting me within the next 24 hrs about some medication. I'm not too bad atm, but I am worse than I was this morning. Taste and smell are ok so I still get to enjoy a nice beer in front of the telly!
  3. He'll get his one day. Hope that poor lad was looked after and is ok.
  4. Look at me, I'm hard. Fucking shithouse.
  5. I tested last night because I was feeling a bit shit and it was negative and again this morning with the same result. I just don't feel 'right' though. I always get Hayfever this time of year and at first I dismissed it as that, but the Pirinase isn't sorting it and this feels a bit more. I'll test again later on tonight. Hope you're feeling better soon mate.
  6. The family all came round for drinks for my birthday on Sunday. My youngest Granddaughter (3) tested positive on Tuesday and is improving, my Daughter tested positive last night and is ill, and my Mrs tested positive this morning but so far seems fine. I'm not 100% because of Hayfever and tested negative. So I'll do another test tomorrow morning. I've been lucky and managed to swerve it so far, fingers crossed I still have.
  7. Just hope that Patel never gets the top job. She'd make Stalin look like Willy Wonka.
  8. I like those but I love the old Universal ones with Lugosi, Karloff and Chaney. I'm not keen on the modern slasher type stuff like for example Saw or Hostel either. They're too fucked up for my taste.
  9. I'll take your word for it. There used to be a van flogging burgers, hot dogs etc parked up near the taxi office in Old Skem at chucking out time years back. It was known as Hughies because that was the sound you'd be making when you were throwing up not long after.
  10. I wouldn't know mate, I've never had one. Not from one of those fellas anyway.
  11. Perhaps if they taught life skills in schools, home economics and cookery as well as the 3 R's and science like they used to..... Not that I agree with the horrible twat, I don't. Not by a long shot.
  12. That cunt Rees Hogg is on Peston tonight, something I often watch but will have to swerve on this occasion. I like my TV screen in one piece.
  13. At 96 the great rainforest is about the only wood he's likely to get. I wouldn't worry too much.
  14. I've had a NatWest one since they shut our branch down. I've never used it and I'm not likely to either.
  15. Prawn Cocktail crisps?, empty bleach bottles aren't the only things that should be chucked in the bin. The right bin of course.
  16. In that case I'll upload a high definition picture of my arse.
  17. Teresa Glover, mother of Ian has died aged 83. She was one of the great campaigners for truth and justice for her son and the Hillsborough victims. May she rest in peace.
  18. I remember one of those fellas opening a bag of rolls and them all spilling out on the ground outside Anfield and the cunt picking them up and cramming them back in the bag quick probably hoping nobody noticed. No thank you very much.
  19. Aah, Blacklers. I can still remember going there for a ride on Blackie the rocking horse when I was little. We'll never get to see the likes of that place or Lewis's again sadly.
