What constitutes the perfect cooked breakfast?
YorkshireRed replied to ISeeRed's topic in GF - General Forum
Some people on here don’t deserve breakfasts. They should be made to skip it and move right on through to lunch. I’d have zero sympathy. They would have brought it on themselves. -
A lot of kindred spirits on here for me. This brings me comfort, but also saddens me to read of others discomfort. The rejection things that Section wrote about, is me all over. I think I’ve become addicted to the suffering that causes over the years though. There are probably times when I’ve gone looking for it, or seen a rejection that probably wasn’t there. I have developed coping mechanisms for many of the things being discussed on these pages but, as I get older, these are becoming all the more difficult. I’m also grieving for a life not lived, but simultaneously feeling guilty for those feelings as I have no right to them. My hope that, one day, someone will just tell me exactly what’s wrong, and how I can fix it. I’ve had a diagnosis of anxiety and depression, but I feel these are an output of something deeper. Until then, it’s good to know that places like this exist. It helps.

I especially like the brave and creative choice to add peas to this dish.

He's never been my favourite player, and he’s acted a bit of a dick today, but none of us are perfect so this is one for the ‘move along’ pile. Klopp is definitely leaving, Salah possibly is. They’ve both done their bit and that trumps a silly spat on a touchline as the lights begin to fade.

Valerie is your V. Willard won’t like it though as there’s not yet a U. Apparently you can break the rules by throwing old ladies down manholes but not by jumping letters. -

My youngest got diagnosed with Autism, aged seventeen. Reading about the challenges on here makes me smile, and feel sad, at the same time. Anyway, I took him out for tea last night and the following conversation took place; ”I’ve bought a lottery ticket tonight. The jackpot is £130m. If I win, you can have whatever you like. What would it be?” ”I don’t know” ”I know it’s hard, try and think of something, whatever you’d like” ”Can we have some nice bread?” ”Of course we can” (Dad fights to hold back the tears).

Obviously the player himself might influence this, but selling Trent would be a huge misstep. He’s one of the most talented players of his generation, and he’s not yet even hit his peak. People used to slag Glenn Hoddle off. The criticism of Trent reminds me a bit of that. We need to find away to best utilise his talents (he is that good), rather than deride him for what’s he’s not. If the deal is right for Salah, we should sell. No question. Virgil we should keep, for now anyway.

Even the marmalade refuses to be seen dead on that plate. -
Looks like all the hard work is about to start paying off. I hope you have many happy years there.

A disappointing few weeks but ‘through the wind and rain’ and all that. Let’s end the season well, say thanks to Jurgen for everything, then get ready to put all our pennies in the slot for the next ride that’s coming our way. Smash ‘em reds. -
Just watched the first episode of Mammoth on BBC. Comedy about a 1970’s PE Teacher who miraculously comes back to life in 2024. Her out of Car Share is in it, as is the Butler from The Fresh Prince of Bell Air. I expected it to be shit, I was just killing time. Maybe because of my low expectations I actually quite enjoyed it. I will certainly watch at least another episode. Could go either way.

When having a boiled egg. I like my soldiers to be cold. Well buttered, but cold. I feel they’re better prepared to do battle with the yolk that way. Cold toast (again generously buttered) is good for dipping in soup as well. -
Kudos to those guys. Out there defending the flag against any suggestions the country might not be filled with morons. It might be a minority in London scrapping with the police but they share views, at least in the same ballpark, as way too many others. A little girl drowned in the channel today because her parents believe the UK can give them a better life. They might well be right but, given the state of these fucktards, that’s more a reflection on what they’re fleeing from, than where they hope to stay. They did not listen, they did not know how. RIP little one. This world was never meant for one as beautiful as you.

You’ll be windy in the windy city after those eggs. -
Toilets in the USA are indeed a strange old game. They seem have higher water levels than this side of the pond, thereby making what would be a perfectly reasonable routine in the UK a smidgen problematic when applied stateside. I put it down as some form of toilet based power play, and have so far refused to let it beat me. US Toilets 0 YR 1.

The egg is shaped like a snail. That’s all I have.
