New manchester city fans myth number 1059. Apparently, it is 'technically' a foul if a defending player 'shouts' at an attacking player during a game to try and put him off shooting! This new myth comes as Virgil van Dijk was allegedly seen shouting at everton player Kean when the everton player was about to core his team's 3rd goal at Anfield last night. Kean dragged his resultant shot wide and didnt score.

Im not sure these 'games' were in BT's (or Sky's) package last year. I think these are extra games over and above the number transmitted by Sky and BT under the last rights based bid. Sky and BT both bid less for this season's tv packages than the previous bid period. Even with Amazon buying these games, the PL's income from the domestic marketis down. it was only increased overseas rights that boosted the overall tv income to more than the last deal. End of the day, you pays yer money and takes your chance. BT and Sky is rich enough for my money. What I would love is if this Amazon deal hastens the ability to select viewing just Liverpool's PL games, be that home and away, just home or just away. As I get to most homes, being able to watch every away would be what Id want. I dont think the clubs would vote for that though because they know selected clubs would see their income rocket while others would see it go down.

From what I read of all the on line match reports, only Chris Bascombe in the torygraph made any reference to atkinson assisting Brighton with their free kick goal. As far as complaining to anyone about refs, mike riley head of PGMOL will just make a big fuck off issue in the papers about Liverpool complaining of bias, will tell us through the papers to fuck off and make sure all his refs get the memo to give us fuck all. Look at the stick atkinson got over Bobby's armpit, you even had Chris Kamara calling him out. And then he screws us with that Brighton free kick. Anyone think he'd have let us get away with that one? No, me neither, clear agenda there then.

Just pointing out that as a supposedly neutral participant, it isnt in atkinson's or any other ref's remit for that matter to give the attacking team some leeway. He either asks the attacking team if they want to take a quick free kick OR measure the regulation distance from ball to wall. Out of all the match reports Ive read, only Chris Bascombe in the Telegraph points a finger at atkinson's, erm, assistance to Brighton on the free kick. Ive seen people say it's just the same as Trent's corner v Barcelona. No, it really isnt anything like. Clearly, Barcelona didnt have their keeper sent off. Neither was there a 'debate' about where the ball would be kicked from nor one of the positioning of a defensive wall. Look, Id happily swallow Brighton's goal if I was confident atkinson or any other ref would allow us to take a similar free kick against an opponent in the same circumstances when their keeper has been sent off. But Im not at all confident because atkinson in particular has shown a litany of poor decisions against us.

Ive said it for a while, Im not fussed about the domestic cups for the next 3 or 4 years while we get the title monkey off our backs. I hope we can do some good and get an away draw to a financially struggling League Two or League One club and we can swell their coffers in the process. Hopefully, we let them keep our share of the gate receipts into the bargain. Obviously those fans are going to see a mainly Liverpool U23 side but when Liverpool are in town, we are still a draw so they should get a good crowd.

Im a pragmatic person. It really doesnt matter if we are 2, 8, 11 or 20 points in the lead to me. If we arent destined to win the title this season it really doesnt matter how many points we have now, our name simply wont be on it. But what people really need to ask themselves is, did they honestly think everton would win, lose or draw today? I was with Jurgen (metaphorically) yesterday when he said when asked 'the lead will be 8 points after tomorrow.' There's really nothing I can do or would want to do to change anyone's mind who's thinking about last season and this season's 'what ifs?' What I would hate is for all this negativity to be replicated in the ground when we're still 8 points in the lead and NOTHING has really changed.We are 8 points ahead of Leicester and 11 ahead of city. Personally Id rather be 11 ahead of city than worry about Leicester, 8 points behind us in all honesty. I really dont see Leicester taking 3 points off city. They might take 2 or even 3 off us but if city beat them, Id take that.

Yes, it would have been great if Leicester had lost or even drawn but really, people didnt think we'd likely only be 10 (!) clear or at worst 8? I really hope this shit isnt going to come out at the ground because then the players will get jittery. Leicester won the same way we beat the shite last season, with a last gasp goal.

We're not going to win the title by a massive margin though. Reading some comments, people are panicking because Leicester won their 'game in hand' on us. That really is all. I dread to think what some are going to be like if we do drop 3 or 4 points. And we'd still be 4 points ahead. It's batshit crazy!

Well there was players from both sides encroached into the box. I didnt notice at the time but replays show one of the Norwich players who had encroached was the one who hacked the ball clear after the keeper parried it.

I love the way Andy has brought a few little snidey digs into his game. The shoving of messi when he was on the ground, the snap back at suarez, the little dig at Perez at the end of the Leicester game, the little shove to send the Napoli player into the advertising hoardings. Those are just a couple I can remember.
